ROFL!!!! That's it! :p

That's freaking HILARIOUS!!!!!! The band wasn't even playing!! LMAO!!!
No, the band was playing... they started out playing the correct song, but when the dude in the sound booth played the wrong vocal track they switched to try to accompany the vocal... but it was doomed anyway because she already sang that song during the previous musical break... she couldn't just sing the same song again.

Yep... the band actually did a good job "recovering". It's too bad she is trying to blame them, because they handled it very well.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here know if all the musical guests on SNL lipsync? Or do they have the option not to?

There may not be sound. The whole effect is kinda killed but she basically realizes the wrong track is playing and she tries some weird dance. HajikuFlip's clip has everything, so it's kinda pointless to download mine unless you're a whore for slightly better quality video.

I've failed ATOT, I'll go crawl over to DC and be with my kind.

It's only an option if you suck at singing live. I doubt any "Real" musician would want to lipsynch in front of a live crowd for whatever reason. You do this sh!t for a living. You better be able to sing live or GTFO.

That's what I was getting at, but before I said anything, I wanted to make sure it wasn't required on SNL.

However, I couldn't imagine DMB or the likes lip-synching, even for SNL.

I know when Metallica was on SNL (back when Reload was released) they actually played. Not all lipsync but a disturbing number of them do.

DMB doesn't lip sync for SNL.

Dave sang by himself one morning on the Today show. It was just him and his guitar playing "So Damn Lucky" it was PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURFECT

I wonder why SNL would even allow lip-synching. After all, the point is to see LIVE sketches with LIVE musical performances. What a bunch of no talent asshats.
