So I now agree that i have
1. caused all prices in fry's to go up because I chose to follow their written return policy
2. an arse for puchasing an item, but choose to go with another item that suited me better and just wanting the money i paid for it
3. causing the entire retail world to lose their balance because I am the only customer that returns things to fry's open and i am to blame for all those "open box" stickers.
I'm sorry for bringing this up to everyone attention, whether you agree with what you did or not, I was only trying to help others to might be put in the same situation. What if you bought a 500 ipod that broke in a week and you just wanted your money back for the item you paid.
sorry sorry sorry.. let this thread die please
btw here is the link to fry's return policy. I feel like I have followed in every way, but that's your opinion.
return policy
We've all committed sins, and there isn't anything spectacularly bad about this, but you could at least try to understand why people are getting on your case. Return policies are there to protect the customer, but not help them take advantage of the store. You try opening a store and see how you feel when a customer buy a product from you and returns it 3 days later with a full refund...and then remind yourself that that was his/her plan all along...
and just so your "point" doesn't get ignored, yes that tax thing seems strange, but at the same time others are right, you're lucky they didn't charge you a restocking fee....
