I enjoy food. I don't know if that makes me foodie. I thought foodie is more people who love gourmet food. I'm not much into eating at fancy or Michelin Star restaurants. I like tasty food over pretty food.

Do you know what's really good? Charcoal grilled dried squid. Stuff is addictive and goes perfect with beer.

That looks great! I can kinda imagine that squidy, salty, fishy taste after it being on the grill.

I'm not massive on oysters (mainly because of the cost compared to other stuff) but I do really like smoked oysters.

Thai fish sauce is bloody amazing in lots of things! (Just use a couple of tablespoons its pretty much fishy brine!)

It's amazing. It's better than any jerky. My dog goes crazy over it and I always have to fight her. She usually steals more than half the squid from me.

I love all oysters. Even canned oysters. I still have 4 pints of fresh shucked oysters in the fridge. I'm going to eat it tomorrow with grilled pork belly. I'm going to cook the oysters in pork belly grease. It's going to be amazing.

So is it just cleaning and splitting open a squid. Then salting and grilling as low as you can until its dried?

Charcoal grilled squid or octopus is fucking amazing as it is!

It's air dried squid. I bought it when I visited the port city of Busan, South Korea, last spring. I brought back suitcase full of dried squid, dried Blackmouth angler fish, and bunch of various sized dried anchovies from the wholesale market there. 🙂

Busan has the best dried seafood in all of Korea. And some stuff like dried Blackmouth angler fish can only be found in Busan.

$4.50 for pint of shucked Pacific oysters at Costco this week. That's crazy cheap price so I couldn't refuse. I bought 8 pints. Not good as the ones in the shell but I can't get shell Pacific oysters here. Plus, shucked oysters are pretty good when cooked in pie pan on charcoal grill. Especially for $4.50 a pint.

What the Hell are you calling garbage? Fermented Fish Sauce isn't garbage you damned dolt!!!

Are you sure you haven't consume any? It is a common ingredient in many Asian dishes. What do you eat, only meat and potatoes every day or something?🙄🙄🙄 How boring...
