did you fish your cables through the wall? are those all front speakers? you can usually run cables under your baseboard to any rears. Or you could run them outside and underneath siding back into the house. Unfinished basement gives you more options.
The picture is taken from where the equipment is. Five speaker cables run under the carpet to the front.
Since you seem genuinely curious, here is a better picture where you can see more detail. This one I just snapped in a hurry because the wife knows I love Jon Lovitz.

Down at the bottom right of the fireplace, you can see the cables for the center, front right and front right high come up in to a channel. The center speaker cable was held to the bottom with some sticky tape and had a much neater appearance when it was first done but has since fallen and i haven't really decided what I want to do about it yet.
The cables for the front right and front right high are the channeled over, with the cable for the front right high fished up the wall from the bigger speaker.
Same setup on the left side, but since I didn't want to stick the channel to the wall because I knew I'd be doing something different eventually, there's no tension to hold up the middle channel to the left speaker, which is why it's sagging.
So, yes, those are all front speakers. It's a 7.1 setup with 2 front, 2 rear, 2 front high and 1 sub.
So my next plans are to find a nice A/V shelf to hold my stuff where the dog's food/water are currently. Then, use a RedMere cable to run the HDMI under the carpet along with the subwoofer cable and then redo the front speaker cabling. I have a couple weeks off at the end of December so maybe then.
