He's right, you don't seem to know jack about audio. Regardless what anyone's personal opinion about his room is, you should learn about Front Height speakers. No need to discredit someone spouting uneducated BS.
And I think you mean uneven FRONT LR speakers, not rear.
It doesn't take a genius to see that if you were sitting down and had to look up at that height, you'd be straining your neck and it's just uncomfortable. And sound would be better if it was more level with your ear, but if not at least angled properly.
And no, I meant rear b/c I'm ASSUMING he has a 5.1 setup and didn't want to put them in the rear so he just mounted them on the front.
edit: But man, despite my assumptions, it's still a very ugly setup IMO. I'm not a fan of mounting TVs above fireplaces, especially not something that's 100".
