It is a valid request for interested techs looking for a foot in the door at a growing branch for an established IT support company.

So far, only 1 person has expressed any interest in in talking further.

Like I mentioned - I too am seriously interested, however your profile email address bounced. Please provide me with an email address that works so I can forward my resume.

I can not believe some of the responses in this thread. People all over the place are looking for jobs, and someone comes here to post about 30 openings, and a bunch of people call it spam? Knowing nothing about the positions?

I wouldn't expect to see any more posts like this one, after this reception. You guys are too much.

Actually, the OP didn't leave enough follow up information for people. The OP (apparently) screwed up his email address. Seriously - how professional do you think this opportunity is if they can't provide pertinent details?! I was initially interested, perhaps for summer employment (I teach - have summers off). But, the lack of details is indicative of management that can't communicate well. It seems like this would be a major problem, in light of the few details provided ("thruout the state") (btw, it's "throughout" )

you cant post something like this and not include a salary range.

When I lived in PA, PC techs were making about $30,000 a year. I couldn't find any server side work in the area, and a salary that low wasn't enough to keep me around.

geez, i wouldnt even get out of bed for 30k a year.

I would kill for 30k a year in PA...
I'm in NW PA. I will send my resume to him via Email, and hopefully ill be able to post more details about the job openings as i hear about them.

Yes, looks like the OP had/has an error in his profile. He's also just joined here. Certainly not unheard of for someone new to not get it right the first time. He should have made sure the email address was accurate, no question.

How professional do I think it is? Having read in the local paper about the OP's company getting the contract with the state, I think it's just as professional as any other company would be who is qualified enough to get a contract like that. The state has offices all over the place - unemployment offices, tax offices, driver's license exam sites, etc. They are indeed "throughout the state".

If you think the lack of details are indicating anything about their communications skills, you are jumping to conclusions. Does every Help Wanted ad include everything you want to know about a position? Of course not. If it was me, I wouldn't have said anything more than the OP did. "I have job openings doing this kind of work, contact me if you're interested."

Hopefully the OP gets the email address fixed.

Most of the people on this forums are an absolute morons...:(
Lets give a guy a break OK?
Lets prove that he came to the right place, full of an absolute computer neerds who would make perfect PC techs...
The rule is quite simple - if you dont care about getting a job because your mommy pays for everything, including food in your basement thats fine. I don't care. But there are some other people who are in need of every opportunity they can find to stay or start in IT.

It's obvious some of you have either no respect for someone gracious enough to offer you a chance at a position when most of you don't already have one. On top of this, the "gimme" this and that shows how you like to throw opportunities aside unless it meets YOUR needs. This isn't pre-2000 anymore. Attitudes must change. A job opportunity works both ways.
