I'm pretty sure the guard meant that you can't go through the side gate...he's not talking about any "zone" as you say...but rather that you just can't go in/out of that gate.

I don't understand why you had to make such a big deal out of it...guess you need to make yourself feel big somehow.

When it come to cop, logic fail miserably. Remind me of Chef Wiggum in The Simpson.
Not the same situation and I don't think the guy even has the authority to give me a ticket. If I were a dick, I could have gotten a supervisor on the spot and probably gotten Rent-A-Tard written up for not properly policing the NO FLY ZONE.

Reread the post and look at the diagram. The chute connecting the two roads is where I was and where the trucks were coming in/out. It had nothing to do with the gate itself. On top of that, I was exiting the campus, not trying to enter, so there wasn't any issue with security or my credentials.

all american cops are hilarious.... they all seem to be under some wierd illusion of absolute power its great!

i watched the Bullrun on TV the other day, and some girls got caught speeding. now their car is littered in bullrun stickers but the cop approaches like theyre terror suspects!

he asks for the keys to the car, stood behind the drivers window, gun pointing in. and she looks around for the key. (she was in a merc, and it doesnt have a key per se.... you just have to have it on you to drive the car) she's searching for this key and the cops going ape ****** on her ass waving the gun around and shouting for the key

by this stages she's very upset, and has to shout at him that its not a regular type of key....the cop continues to ignore her by pointing at where the key normally goes and shouting at her to give him the key. she eventually gives it to him though, but shes distraught now.

this seems to happen on all the gumball/ bullrun type events... the cops go on some massive ego power trip and it jus seems un-necessary.

So it's right for me to block everyone? Because that's is a 1 car size lane. If I have no spot then I have no choice but to stop and stops every1 in the back of me. O,and if I stop, even the damn handicap can't pass me and I would block their empty reserve parking spot too. But anyway, I'm sure there ppl out there obey the law blindly.

how about you move? contiune on so you are not blocking the path or takeing up a handicap spot you should not be parking in?

what gives you the right to either block traffic or take a handicap spot? you chose to park in the spot and you got a ticket. as i said rightfully so. next time you will move now wont you?

Ok fine. i argued for a minute about them accusing him of throwing something. but knew it was a loseing argument because well they were rent a cops.
I find THIS part of your story infinitely interesting, and deserving of its own thread. ;)

Ok, so far we've established that no actual feces were thrown.

However, these guys were certain to the point of ordering you all to leave that your wife's brother was throwing things at a complete stranger in a mall, and a female, to boot? Do I have this part of the story correct??

I thought I stated clearly that my only choice were
a) Block or
b) temparaly stay in one of those empty spot until a regular parking spot open up

He was giving me a ticket and said I should have parked another spot. I asked him what spot. He looked around and I guess felt stupid then got smuck and said I should have parked else where. I said my only other choice were to block the only path, then he said yes it's better to block everyone then park in the handicap.

Fine if you all say I am wrong. I am just saying sometime the law is the law no matter how stupid it is. :)

I would like to add pimp too. Or walk slowly to enjoy the scenery of a restricted zone.

Your ONLY choices? Wow! So, the world would have been destroyed if you'd kept going, circled around the block, and looked for a spot again, or parked a block further away and walked?

For fun, you should have run into an obvious hazard and fallen off your bike. Then, while rolling on the ground, faking your agony, you should have said, "owwwwww, my legggggg! You MADE me ride back through this construction zone. I'm gonna SUE!" :p :)

Circled 3 round before and the circle was wide. It was all one way parking lot so everytime I need to circle around I had to exit and come back in. Nowhere else around to even consider parking. Ppl even parked at the end of the raw creating an extra parking even though it was a crossed out solid white lines.

NO that was not your only choice. You caould have continued around and parked farther away.

where else you park is not his job. his job is to ticket people who park where they should not be. you parked in a place you shouldnt. you got a ticket for it.

a well deserved ticket.
