i proposed to my wife about 6 weeks after i met her and we got married 5 months later and i was away (in the Navy, out to sea) for 2.5 months of that

and we just passed 19 years of marriage

Sure, it can work out, and your example is proof of that. But let's face it, it's freedomsbeat we're talking about here.

It sounds like maybe you just met another person with similar issues and you both are mistaking this for love.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm giving you real advice that I'm sure you'll dismiss.

We've told him about his insecurities, co-dependency etc over and over and over again. He will dismiss this one again

Anyone want to start a pool?

They won't make it to the wedding date. mayeb 2-3 months, tops.

I give them longer than 2-3 months, but I definitely agree that they won't make it to the wedding date.

No, I've always respected your advice in particular, IceBerg. And, yes, I've been seeing a therapist for over a year now (and taking meds).

Whether or not you guys are a fan of the OP for you to childishly insult him and his fiance in this thread really reflects poorly on your character.

When someone volunteers personal information like this, if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

Shame on all of you, you know who you are.

Congrats freedomsbeat212, I hope everything works out for you both, sincerely!
