This thread reminds me of Dezign's thread a year or two back. (AT Attention (ahem) Seeker with plenty of YAGTs, engaged after a few weeks, married shortly after.) I wonder if she and her guy are still married.

HappyKitten --> Dezign --> Tomato --> MrsBugi

She was engaged and married but then this seems to indicate she's single again?
Nice call...freedomsbeat212 is EXACTLY like HappyKitten.

I disagree, that's all I'm going to say :)

OP, IIRC, you did make a thread a few months ago about how you could not get any girls at all and you may have to get hookers to get lay. I think you even showed us your pics and the one I remember was you with somekind of boxing/toy gloves.

I will see if I can find that thread.

If what you say is true then congrats and best wishes.

I just don't see this ending well at all. You were involved with 2 other girls just a few weeks ago, the MILF that had a child, and the girl who didn't want to have you seeing other girls. Just because you got past a first date and have feeling for the girl, doesn't mean it's time to get hitched...

Does she know your last name? Do you know the name of her parents and met them? I just can't see how you can get married after only dating for 1 month, without knowing about each other's bad tendencies, and if you can deal with them.

Wow wow wow.

At least you made it a long engagement. If you still want to marry her a year from now, then this will all make sense.

Whether or not you guys are a fan of the OP for you to childishly insult him and his fiance in this thread really reflects poorly on your character.

When someone volunteers personal information like this, if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

Shame on all of you, you know who you are.

Congrats freedomsbeat212, I hope everything works out for you both, sincerely!

Thanks for the kind words and being a class act.

I must add that I deserve all of the doubt and harshness stated in this thread - I've been a tool and my threads have been major proof of my self esteem issues.

I'm working through them and feel like this is a major step toward my maturation. My sister had similar concerns that I still have growing up to do. Hell, I have the same concerns. But Melissa said something very important to me - "we all have growing up to do. Maturation doesn't have a set destination and we could wait forever, or grow up together." That was a discussion we had before I proposed, and it meant a lot to me.

So i'm not angry about the negative energy here, I deserve it so I won't and cant' defend myself. She does not. She's an amazing girl and I'm proud I proved myself to her, and that's all that matters. I won't be snuggling with forum strangers, after all.

Are you kidding me? Getting engaged in a month is a step in the wrong direction (this coming from somone who was engaged after 4 months, but at least I was 20). This is exactly why everyone here (and prob in real life) makes fun of you. It feels nice to sugarcoat everything and make it sound so "magical", but in the end it's your actions that matters most.

Thanks for the laugh though. I really needed this today!

For what it's worth, many cultures essentially do get engaged after a month, if even that. OP is Indian, and while it doesn't seem he got engaged so quickly as a result of cultural pressure, it is quite common. The divorce rate is also around 1-3% or so in India I believe, and while that doesn't necessarily indicate happy marriages, it does disagree with most western expectation.

[edit]Just realized that none of what I said applies to the OP given his past threads.[/edit]

Nope, that's not me. People always attribute that thread to me but I don't own any boxing toys nor have I had a problem meeting girls, just holding on to one (or finding one worth holding on to) has been my problem.

Well, at least you don't live in the Bible Belt were divorce rates are much higher.

glad you edited and realized who you were talking about :). I'm from bangladesh so I have an idea of what arranged marriages are about :). And trust me, nothing in freadombeat's relationship resembles any of the characteristics of an arranged marriage.

9 pages.....I wondered how long it was gonna take for this to be said.

We should make an exception in his case. He's entertained the OT community for so long that he's entitled to a wrong forum post. Especially with something of this magnitude.

I only read the OP's original post, not the rest of the 9 pages, should I say congrats or not?

Watching freedomsbeat212 post is like watching a NASCAR race, you know most people are really there to see a horrific crash.

Given the content of the OP I'd say this one is going to be epic.

One month. You've been dating for one month, and now you're getting married.

That's absurd.

Considering you track record, I would be amazed if this lasts an entire year. Since you think you are all that, you are no longer allowed to ask L&R related questions. You are on your own now.

i mean anyone know how old this kid is? from his posts, i gather he's what 12? 14 at most. i dont think you are allowed to get married...

besides, do you even make enough money to support yourself. can you even support a family?

man, even if you do get married, your kids would not only be fat, but impoverished.
