I'm at a dilemna

My parents have a few rentals, and this weekend a renter family were going to be out of town. So we finally get a chance to remodel parts of it. After 2 hours of destroying cabinets and bashing holes in everything, i go outside and notice this board over a window. i go back inside and try to trace what room has that window on it. i go in the tenant's bedroom, and look for a door. they have those dam hippie drapings everywhere, so i can't even see the wall. I find the door to the other room, and open it. holy @#$!. its like a hurricane in there, and i get blasted with the delicous odor of marijuana. an entire bedroom full apparently. The light switch doesn't work , so i busted out my phone and got a glimpse of tons of pipes, electric hoositwatsits, and bags of dirt. at least they had the balls to cover the floor. So, these people don't have a job, they apparently sell rocks (i can't see how you make 900 a month to pay rent from selling rocks), but they rarely complain about anything. Should i tell my parents, since there's a 99 percent that they're destroying that room and there's incentive for that house to be broken into, or do i just not say anything at all? I kinda want to bring it up to the renters and ask for a kickback......

It's a huge risk and liability for her. Take pics, though.

Oh, and they were in fact selling rocks, just a different kind.

Yeah, that's what I'd do. It's not like you can get in trouble for it. Some extra cash in your pocket could be nice!
 
they have big rocks in there house everywhere, the big tall ones that are cut in half with the purple crystals? and also fossils, so no they're not selling crack. I'd love to blackmail them, but i need some ideas first. I also found a ceramic hand made bong underneath the kitchen sink, i want it really bad!
 
Your parents own the place, and could lose the property if the cops come busting in first. Tell them, and let them decide how to proceed.
 
i doubt they'll lose the property if the cops do bust in. I live in Humboldt, there's at least one pot-related bust a day in the paper

Using a gun while blackmailing them will probably be more effective, otherwise they might just ignore you.
 
what do you think they'd do if they come home, that room is COMPLETELY EMPTY? i can't even imagine the look on their faces. I can, however imagine the look on my face with all those plants 🙂
 
I would let someone know asap, I dont think your home insurance covers anything if the house is used to grow anything and the mold that results is unhealthy.
 
My question is, did you have permission to enter the house and do the remodel? If so, you need to report them for the pot. At the very least you need to tell your parents. There might be some sticky legal issues if you know about something like this and fail to report it.
 
yep, had plenty of permission. i was there a week ago hauling off brush and they're like "we're gonna be gone this weekend, you should replace this and this and this and this and this and this"
 
my mom was saying that it could be for their gemstones, are there any rock junkies at AT and do they need ventilation and water and air?

Did I understand correctly...they have a bedroom full of growing pot? If so, that's a problem for your parents...
next, did you have legal authority to be in the house...and to poke around in some of the places you went? Kahleeforneeya has some pretty strict renters laws...you (and your parents) could potentially get sued over your entry.
IIRC, you have to give them a MINIMUM of 24 hours notice you're going to be in the house (except in case of emergency) and I'd bet if they knew in advance, they'd have dealt with the grow-room becore you could get there.
HOWEVER, with all the pot grow houses getting busted in Kahleeforneeya recently, the cops would sure love to know about this...
 
Tell your parents - the house is their property, and they will more than likely taking a hit for the damage.

I wouldn't feel bad for taking a souvenir though.......😛
 
Steal the drugs sell them and profit, b/c what are they gonna do call the cops? Of course then your parents probly wouldn't get rent money next month.
