I would like to preface this post with the fact that I'm an idiot. I know. Seriously, I'm retarded.

I haven't been checking my gas meter lately, and this morning I get into my car and it won't start. I find that I'm out of gas. Out, arrow is like at the bottom. I'm thinking about going to the gas station in my friend's car and filling up a 2 gallon jug with gas and pouring it into my car. Any other suggestions?

Man, I'm dumb. Been driving for like 6 years too. 🙁
 
I'll have "put more gas in the vehicle" for 100 please.

Unless your car is special and runs on tears or cookies, in which case you might have found a gold mine.

maybe, but some cars get damaged when you completely run them out of gas, so i doubt it is worth it, you should get the container.
 
1. Get really long hose
2. Attach one end to the pump
3. Go in and give the guy about 5 bucks
4. Go back to your car and start pumping
5. ...
6. Profit?! 😕
 
You run it completely out of gas and you risk sucking up all the sludge and grime off the bottom of the tank and damaging your engine and/or fuel system.

Siphon the gas from your friends car and drive to the station. Then when he is empty and needs a ride to the station just laugh at him.

It is best to not let you tank go below 1/4. In tank fuel pumps use the fuel to keep them cool. You out a lot of wear and tear on a fuel pump by running it low. So if you are near or at the 1/4 mark that means fill it up, not play "lets see how far I can make it before I look like a idiot" game.

You need to let it warm up for an hour or so before driving to the station just to make sue it's got enough gas to get you there! 😀

Oh well, don't be too hard on yourself OP...sh!t happens! 🙂
