Atleast you didnt run out of gas on a burn cruise like I did and have walk 1/2 mile and talk to the people in the gas station completely toasted :laugh:
 
make a hole on the car floor where the pedals and where your feet go and and go to the gas station going yabadabadoo!!!!!
 
This brings to mind a question, what happens when a Prius runs out of gas? Will it switch to only battery power, or completely shut down?

Don't sweat it. I ran out of gas more than once, while I worked at a gas station no less!

One time, I ran out of gas while two or three cars back, at a busy intersection. I had a container of gas in my car, so I added most of it to the tank. I went to the front of the car, opened the hood and primed the carb (it was an old car). Coming around the side of the car, I decided to close the hood, so I could hurry and get out of the way. Then, I realized the air cleaner's wingnut might fall off someplace, so I tried to stop the hood from closing. The momentum and weight of the hood was way too much for me to stop, and it closed on my fingers! :shocked:

There I was with my hand trapped in the hood, cars honking, and no way to do anything about it. Oh yeah, I was also in a great deal of pain with my fingers squished to 1/4" thickness. 🙁 I waved to the guy behind me to come give me a hand, which he did. He opened my hood, I started the car and limped off down the road...

Anyway, just take a container with you when you head for the gas station.
 
Only happened once to me, I was 16 and had a beater with a broken fuel gauge. Luckily I had 2 friends with me and we managed to pretty easily push it about a mile along the shoulder to a gas station.

Car runs out of gas, he comes to ATOT asking what to do.......

Siphon the gas from your friends car and drive to the station. Then when he is empty and needs a ride to the station just laugh at him.
