if you're white, would you date a girl who has dated a black man?

as long as she isn't a slut, i'd have no problems w/ it (assuming i was interested in her and we were on the same level)

I might not date a girl for the type of guys she's dated before, but not because of the color of the guys she's dated before.

Wow JUst wow

Some of you folks are just sick. You would date someone cause of the color of their EX.

Bleh those of you who feel this way are in my eye Human WASTE.

It's all about the company she keeps, and who she's dated in the past.

If she hangs out with a bunch of druggies, or has dated scum of the earth in the past, I don't care what race these people were, I'd be a lot less inclined to date her.

Don't you date Asians exclusively?

Why limit myself like that...its not like women are exactly throwing themselves at me!

Seriously, if I liked her and she liked me and sometime before she dated a black guy, why should I care?? This way when she tells me I have a small penis at least I know she considers < 8" small.

this is a serious poll. I always considered myself not racist... I don't (or try not to) judge people when I meet them, etc etc... but there's this girl who I found out date(d) a black guy... and for some reason I was immediately turned off by it...

You are def. racist.

Read what you wrote, then read the first line again. Now read the second line again. Now read the third line again. Now read the fourth line again. Now tell me you still believe the first line.

People are naturally prone to bigotry... as are animals. There is nothing wrong with being honest about how you feel. Perhaps he has a conscious and is contemplating the origins of these feelings?
This is the correct assessment.

Personally, I would probably agree with the OP for the most part. If you don't find black women atrractive, or even if you find them repulsive, it's a natural progression that you would probably have second thoughts about a girl who didn't feel the same way about black men. And it is not racist to feel this way, just personal preference.

That said, for me I'd say it would depend on who the black guy was that the girl dated before. If he was some scum-of-the-earth wannabe gangsta/pimp-type dude, then I'd definitely pass.
Why? Because that speaks volums about the character of the girl.
No different than if I passed her up because she dated some dude that looked like Fat Bastard.

Exactly what I was going to say..

I wouldnt date a girl who dated a white guy who was one of those sum-of-the-earth wannabe gangsta/pimp-type dudes either.

By dated do you mean had sex with? Or is this just dating we're talking about here?

Either way, I think the OP is incredibly shallow and insecure. What possible difference does it make? Would the OP date a black chick? I'm sure many black women have dated black men.

I think location has a lot to do with it. Here in the south, interracial relationships are frowned upon and once a girl/guy does it she/he has to live with a stigma they can't avoid if she/he decides to stay here. This is from both sides white and black. Most of you benefited from a family upbringing that didn't have a parent or parents that downgraded another race day in day out. It happens here, believe me I have heard it first-hand at a friend?s house. It?s sad really; that kind of behavior will make sure it is carried on to the next generation. It doesn't help that most (I said most not all) of the black people here have that MTV gangsta, pimpin, dealer look and character to them. I think parents see that and prejudge them, unfortunately in front of their kids

As far as the poll is concerned, I had been with a girl who had an interracial relationship before (probably more than one). She was a hot as hell and I wanted a piece of ass.

It?s funny though I may be raciest towards whores, because when looking for a "good girl" to settle down with I avoided them. When I found out they had a promiscuous past, I felt the way he describes when he found out she had a relationship with a black guy.

I can think of many situations where you'd hold something they did previously against them.

What if you found out that she used to be a crack whore?

What if you found out that she used to be an IV drug user?

What if you found out that she was the town ho?

Yeah that statement made no sense so I had previously just ignored it.

Yeah you're a total racist... and so is everyone else who thinks like this.... there is no acceptable reason to take this stance other than being a ignorant racist.

period.

People make decisions based on passed history, life experiences, and even genetics. He might have had a bad experience with a black man before or had a raciest upbringing. We all dont have the same life experiences as each other, so we are all going to approach this differently. Calling him a total raciest is just wrong.

We all dont have the same life experiences as each other, so we are all capable of being completely ignorant racists for different reasons. Calling him a total racist is a 100% accurate.

Fixed

i see the OP as being troubled by his inner response, maybe the first step in trying to better oneself is being honest and confronting such a feeling.
