apparently reading isn't one of your skills. i never said you were ignorant. i don't know you enough to say that. i said your opinions were. and to be more specific since it seems to require that i draw this out for you. the opinions you've shared in this thread regarding this topic are ignorant.
Just because its a personal preference does'nt make it right. It was Hitler's personal preference to wipe out the Jews but I guess because it was his personal preference then that makes it ok. And before you start with the argument that the OP's personal preference does'nt harm anyone keep in my mind that discriminatory attitudes and actions often start small and grow into larger issues. Today its a guy not dating women who've dated black guys, tomorrow its not wanting to live in the same neighborhood with minorities. Next week its exchanging racial slurs and jokes. Racial discrimination is wrong no matter how you look it, that personal preference argument is a cop out.

Well I can personally tell you that my initial reaction to the OP was mixed, in the sense that I was able to justify his attitude and respect it.. That is no longer the case, so yes it has changed at least one opinion.

I'm just fed up with people who discriminate, unfortunately I deal with a few people like that on my job. One of the worst feelings in the world is for people to judge you in a negative manner for no other reason than the color of your skin. Its just a horrible experience no matter how many times it happens. For some people it does'nt matter if you're a good or kind person, it does'nt matter that you're a decent and hardworking citizen. The only thing some people see is color and because of that you get treated like sh!t. It makes me furious.

Time for me to be blunt- F*ck Em. Seriously, if you want to live a long and healthy life, look at those people as ignorant idiots that will never "get it". Understand that you can not change people, that the only thing you can change is how you react to them. Have you pondered the possiblity that you have built a wall around yourself which makes you super-sensitive to race issues, which in turn may blur the true intentions of the "questionable" people around you.. I'm not saying that is case, just thinking out loud.

He was exactly right....you have complained and have done nothing to explain anything...typical jump on a soapbox and have no idea on the issue other than popularity. 'get bent' was a rather personal attack in and of itself and equally ignorant...also your ignorance is reflected in the fact that you seem to think half the posters here share YOUR opinion.....regardless of assuming that was correct, it is not a majority anyway and shows the other half has something valid to say as well.
You seem to be the typical book burner that becomes content noone else can experience things that you personally do not share interest in.
