My morning job, my boss is gay, so is the general manager. They are as nice as can be, they don't look gay, especially my boss. The general manager is great, he's funnier en hell, has a great sense of humor and is sarcastic, like me. To generalize is stupid, done all the time, but, I've learned, don't judge a book by it's cover.

Gay, who cares!
 
its kinda suprising that many people add 'unless he hit on me'. Ofcourse you shouldnt be harassed like that, but do you think that women who work under men think like that all the time? I guess what i'm trying to say is that the likelyhood of a gay boss hitting on a guy is probably the same as a straight boss hitting on a woman. Either way,straight or gay, that person isnt right for the job if they abuse this position like that.

My boss at my last job was gay and I volunteer the gay/lesbian center - I'm pretty sure my boss there is gay too 😉 What the hell difference does it make? I hated my gay boss as much as I hated my straight bosses! Actually, he always gave out the coolest holiday gifts to his staff, he had excellent taste. Gave me a $300 dolce wallet and gave the graphic design people some very swank stuff too.. yep.
 
wow, some of you guys are really quick to say it's not an issue. and you seem desperate to ridicule the OP for asking a reasonable question. are you guys insecure or just uber hardcore about being passionate (guess one doesn't preclude the other)?

yes, it shouldn't matter. but most people don't think logically, or don't think at all, and it matters to them. in that way our society can be really complicated.

for example, if he's the only gay person in the building, he might feel that he is the "ambassador of the gays to the straights" and others might feel that way as well. that can put a lot of pressure on people. my advice would be to be yourself. or maybe someone else that's more hip.

But you do have a problem with it now.

You might be just realizing your attraction to men. Not an insult... but a reality.

Being constantly exposed to a gay man (that has some appeal to him) may be what is causing you to question yourself now. You have a problem with it. You might use the excuse that it is gross.... but straight people do a lot nastier things than anal probing.

Deal with what??

I've had two bosses/supervisors who were overtly homosexual. As I think about it, my first boss may have also been a lesbian (not like the ones you see in pr0n)... never really thought too much about it.


I asked a lot of questions when I was dating a lesbian, but I got use to it.... 😕
