I wonder what the EX SE offer that Scion tC doesnt have or vise versa. I believe civic yield better mileage for $16k i would go with civic, but i'll give tC a consideration....test drive them both

The civic does give better mileage, but the tC provides more power, about 50 more hp if im not wrong. tC = 160 and Civic 117?

Parents won't allow the used car, says the mechanical problems are too bothersome if any... =\ 20k worth or under of a car... suggestions welcome!

Used certified Acura's get 12k miles added to the original bumper-to-bumper. I bought mine used with ~20k miles on it and got a 62k mile bumper-to-bumper.

No disrespect, but your parents need to educate themselves some.

Haven't thought too much in the used car department, but its an open issue i suppose, i'll talk to them about it.

tC. It's just a sporty camry (same engine). Either car will suffice really. Have you thought about the mazda 3, or is the two door a requirement, or maybe would just rather have the toyota/honda behind it?

meh, it's too big (the se). Actually, a sporty camry would be the solara wouldn't it. heh.. but then we get into engine differences.... blah... you can have your tC coupe 😛

I had a tC. It r0x. Now I have an RSX-S. hehe. it r0x too.
btw, the tC has a camry engine. Short gear ratio + TRD S/C or a Turbo Kit = r0x.
Civic sucks.

Civic = gutless bitch. That thing has no low-end torque and the engine is buzzy as hell. Not to mention that the tC comes loaded with features.

Civic might get better with the revamp though.....the Si model anyway.
