I don't think Obama is that intelligent, he is someone average intelligence, maybe slightly higher. And speaking is probably his strongest area.

Intelligence doesn't necessarily make a good president, because Jimmy Carter has a blazing high IQ over 140, and he was a terrible president.

Obama's academic background is astoundingly good. He's very very smart. He is also a horrible horrible leader.
I bet Gore would have been a lot like Obama if Gore won the election. Really smart, has ideas, decides to be a pussy instead of strong arming things, the government locks up, nothing gets done, gets voted out 4 years later.

You have been posting anti-Obama stuff since before he was elected. I see a trend there.
It is not surprising that you would make one incident represent everything about him.

IIRC, Mr Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004.
He may have made mistakes while giving speeches but his resume sounds like he is a very intelligent person.
 
Is this a serious thread? I know people don't like Obama, but give me a break here. This makes most faux-outrage look like genuine concern by comparison.
 
Heh, I just noticed where this link is from. The Washington Examiner is another "alternative" media outlet created by conservatives for conservatives (like the Washington Times wasn't enough for DC readers). I was wondering why an article outside the opinion section of a paper would spend such a ridiculous amount of time focusing on Obama's teleprompter use.

From what I understand his academic record is average. By average, that means he got a lot of Cs and sometimes worse.

As a president, your power is limited and you can't really "strong arm things" because its not like you are a dictator.

So....why is this news? Teleprompters help people make speeches. That is their sole purpose of existence. Are we going to amend the constitution to require that every president be a member of Toastmasters from now on?

We all would, because that would mean we had a better economy. I honestly don't think even St. Reagan would do much better in Obama's shoes. If he were presiding over an economy that continues to be this bad, people would have just as rosy opinion of him as they do Obama currently.

At HLS the title is given to the top 10% of the graduating class, as have been stated by them multiple times. In colleges it's percentage based or given to a minimum GPA, at my alma matter it was 3.7.

your obama is on the pedestal. Lets see his attendance records. What classes he took. What papers he wrote. His test results. What did he actually achieve. The devil is in the details. That's why you'll never see the actuals.

You claimed Obama was a "D" student, I am simply telling you he was top 10% in the class which means an A student based on what people who go to HLS say.

If a bible thumper told me to prove the earth was not created in 7 days I am not going to perform astrological studies with a telescope while extracting rocks to bring back to my laboratory to carbon date. The devil is not in the details, the devil is the little voice inside your head that makes you that special kind of crazy.

The bottom line is that he is a smart man that you fundamentally disagree with. There are plenty of smart people on both sides of the political spectrum, there is no need to go the extra mile in attempting to disparage someone's character just because you are incapable of debating the worthwhile political topics.
