Just a question for the Christians here: Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Which means (from every interpretation I've ever seen) that without a belief in Jesus, you're going to Hell. I wonder what happens to children who die before they are old enough to think for themselves, or to jungle natives who have never seen a Christian and never heard of Jesus. Are they damned?

This almost translates to disillusionment comes first, then you can find reasons and live a life contradictory thought; doublethink.

For me, the only reason I don't believe is that we are known to be imperfect, yet we get forgiveness if we truly ask for it, but if we are imperfect, wouldn't we not ask for it? Then I divide my brain by 0. So it's its as if i just have to ignore all the contradiction in order to have faith. Can't do it.

Here something for you to think about:

You dont go to hell for "not believing" what is in some book or what your preacher tells you on Sunday.

You go to hell for committing crimes or being a evil person.

Fundamental difference.

Dont tell me that "God" would send someone "to hell" because they dont attend church or dont believe the bible down to the letter - it thats the case such religion would have gotten their priorities significantly WRONG.

That's the worst way possible to go about knowing anything. True things are still true even when you remove your bias. I'm automatically suspicious of any proposition that requires a bias before evidence can be presented.

I thought baby fetuses (and other unbaptized innocents) weren't allowed into heaven. They have to sit in purgatory.

According to him, Hitler can't be Christian as he violated their code. Of course that same logic means he (Felix) can't be Christian either as he too violated the code. Of course he ignores that and spent half of a thread randomly responding to people, while blatantly ignoring the proof that Hitler was not an atheist.
