Stick.

Automatics are just.. annoying. They sound funny, too.

Ahh. Yeah, cool stuff. I knew they existed, he just made it sound like they were going to become mainstream or something.

They are not considering things like driving when older, the frusturations of heavy city traffic for years and years, the possibilty of losing your left leg or braking your foot..

Manual might be a fun gimmick, but its not worth the years of grief it will bring you later in life.

You no not everyone lives in the hell hole you call a city. In rural areas You end up stop like once or twice every 15 miles as oppessed to stopping every 15 feet in the city.

Stick

As for those who said about driving a stick when they get old, if you go to India you'll realize 99% of the cars are sticks, I'm sure the elderly are still driving a stick.

by the time a person is too old to drive a stick shift, he shouldn't be driving at all!

Can learn to drive with your left foot.

Can't drive a manual with only one leg.

The topic said "for the rest of your life". You need to take into consideration everything that could happen to you. Automatic would be the best bet for that.. if you take manual and something happens like I mentioned then you will be stuck never driving again until you die.

Although stick is hella fun to drive on highways and stuff, I'd stick to auto for the city traffic here

Oh wait.. I don't even have my license yet..... ;)

owned.

Lamborghini? (Looks like a manual in the pic)
Ferrari?

Performance cars have manual, luxury cars for the rich and lazy have automatics.
People who want to drive have manual, people who want to be driven have autos of chaufers(sp?).
