Only an idiot would choose manual for the rest of their lives.

They are not considering things like driving when older, the frusturations of heavy city traffic for years and years, the possibilty of losing your left leg or braking your foot..

Manual might be a fun gimmick, but its not worth the years of grief it will bring you later in life.

You no not everyone lives in the hell hole you call a city. In rural areas You end up stop like once or twice every 15 miles as oppessed to stopping every 15 feet in the city.

Screw that. I live in LA and I choose manual. So do both my parents;)

A good 5-speed stick is more advantageous than a 3 or 4 speed auto, especially at cruising. In city driving, auto all the way. However, as I drive preciously little in city, and almost all on highway, I choose stick

For daily driving in traffic (work and back, etc...) I pick auto.

For driving for fun I pick stick

All cars suck in traffic jams. Traffic jams are especially frustrating when you have 300+ horsepower under the hood and no where to use it.

I learned to drive in a manual, my first 2 cars were manual, and my current car is an auto. A nice car to drive, but I still find my left foot wanting to do things.

I've drove a manual on the M25 (known sometimes as the world's longest car park) which is often stop/go/stop/go. I've been sitting in traffic for 4 hours doing that, and i've been fine.

Therefore, my choice is Manual.

I'd like to learn manual just so I can. Otherwise, I think I'd prefer auto for every situation for the rest of my life.
