If you bought an LCD monitor or notebook computer.....between 1999 and 2006 you can get money back in a court settlement.
Here's the link:
https://lcdclass.com/

I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing, but so far it says you will get a minimum 25 dollars.
I don't know what happens if you bought 30 like I did.

Do you own a bar or PC Cafe?! D:

Anyhow... $25 is a tank of gas so I'm filing... :D:thumbsup:

hmm interesting

oooh how generous
Class Counsel and the Attorneys General will ask the Court for attorneys’ fees based on their work on this litigation, not to exceed one-third of the Settlement Fund, plus reimbursement of their costs and expenses. Class Counsel will also request a payment to the Class Representatives who helped the lawyers on behalf of the Classes.

Any payment to the attorneys will be subject to Court approval and the Court may award less than the requested amount. The fees, costs, expenses and awards that the Court orders, plus the costs to administer the Settlement, will come out of the Settlement Fund.

So, anyone know what the problem was? If you weren't hurt by this then why the heck would you be entitled to compensation?

Nevermind, I see it was a price fixing scheme. Fuckers.

As always ... the ONLY one who wins in a Class Action Lawsuit is the lawyers. Everyone else either loses or gets a pittance.

Think there was price fixing among the flat panel makers. So, any money coming back to me is fine.

And what kind of car can you fill up for 25? A Tata Nano?

I drive a 2011 BMW Z4 convertible and my office is only 2 miles from my home... so $25 worth of gas will last me almost a month... :D

Believe what you will ... you and every other claimant is getting nothing compared to the lawyers who brought the CAL ... on YOUR behalf!

Think I got my LG 17" LCD (ma first) around 2004 or 2005. Got my current 24" Dell around 2007 or 2008, my two TVs around 2010.

I'll let this one go since I blew $15 on shit food (cafeteria and fast foor) twice the past week anyways.

What the hell, I might as well get in on this too. I know I bought at least 2 TVs during that time, 2 laptops, and a monitor.

I wish there was a way of participating in class action suits where you could opt in by depriving a lawyer of money, and giving it to charity or something. I'm always conflicted. The suits are usually greed fueled bullshit, and by not participating you lose money that goes to someone else who equally doesn't deserve it. You lose either way :^/

I've never participated in anything like this. I just filed for the one laptop and 3 monitors I bought, but now what? Do I have to find my receipts from 2001 through 2006?
