My main issue with these are...
If a billionaire man and woman tango, and she becomes pregnant and they start raising the child together.
Three years later, they go on the "Maury show" and the man gets the suprise "You are not the father" statement, why is that guy still obligated to keep paying child support even though it's not from his sperm and he's not the biological father?
Child support? Who determines the amount and how exactly is it determined?
Why should a billionaire have to be paying thousands/month to support a single child?
It does not take $5,000/month to support a single child...VS...someone else who's in the same situation with a lower salary and only pays $300/month.
And yes, remember to wash your underwears with bleach...Don't let anyone do laundry for you because it's quite possible for a woman to get impregnated from days old masturbated sperm.
wtf?
I'm trying to understand the American system more...I'm not originally from here.
From all the things I saw on these talk shows "Maury Show", "Ricki Lake", "Jenny Jones", and whatever other talkshows do these "Suprise, You are NOT the father" crap DNA tests that I'm missing) is what I explained in the 1st two paragraphs and wanted to know more about.
If a guy on the Maury Show finds out 3 years later that the kid is not his, and later divorces...Does he have to be paying child support eventhough he's not the biological parent, while the real father is out there running amok somwhere?
Why do they go on stage to solve their family problems? Are they actually real problems or they just get people to makeup stories for entertainment? Do the people coming on stage to tell the world their family problems get paid?
As a foreigner who came here just 10 yrs ago, watching all those talkshows in middle school gave me teh chuckles.
Of course I don't have time to watch them now because of what I'm studying.
But I still watch Maury during summer & holidays for entertainment.
I think they still have the "You are not the father" type episodes twice a month at least.
I want an answer to the italicized part at least.
