I don't know. I'm not equipped to speculate on the macro scale. I can't get around the notion of a expanding universe. The way I see it is the universe is expanding into something, even if that something is nothing. But apparently I'm wrong :^D

That's how it works. Further, if infinite hillbillies driving infinite Ford trucks shot an infinite number of stop signs with an infinite number of shotgun shells, the entire history of the human race and all literary works would be transcribed in Braille.

False. In an infinite universe there can only be one thread this dumb, not two.

Most scientists believe its not. I also believe that too. Its just fun to think about the universe if it actually were infinite. You would exists somewhere else doing the exact same thing you are doing right now (beating off) :p

It isn't, this is a what-if.

And although THIS universe is not infinite, the multi-verse might be infinite.

Yep that's how it works. The entire universe can never be observed however our causally connected space has a definite volume defined by the volume of space that light has had a chance to reach since the beginning.

Now consider that in any such space there are a large but finite number of states. More precisely you could have a volume of space with no particles or one up to the point where all space is full if matter. Were somewhere inbetween and there are a finite number of combinations.

A moments reflection should lead you to the realization that all states not absolutely fobbiden by physics MUST occur, and infinitely many times.

Someone get out there and shows us it is/isn't infinite. We all promise to wait for your return with the results !

That thought just blew my fucking mind. I don't read Braille though, so I don't know if its true.

Maybe not THIS universe, but there is some reasoning that there are more than one. Multiverse theory opens the doors to the potential for infinite scales.
