If someone cuts in front of you while you're waiting in line, what should you do?

say you're at Nordstrom, and due to the holidays, the lines are somewhat long. you've been waiting in line for 10 minutes, and then all of the sudden someone cuts in front of you. What do you do?

perhaps I'll tell you what I did after garnering some ATOT responses.

depends on my mood - where i am at the time - etc.

going back from international flight, already an ordeal, i had someone cut in front of me in coralling-line waiting for passport control. every chance i had i stepped right in front of her, without saying anything, until she finally blurted "exxxxcussseee me". then i chewed her the f' out , aloud , with tons of people around.

usually in a store or somewhere else when im not in a rush, i dont say anything.. other people will have already grumbled and made snide remarks... no biggie off my back

Pretend that my cell phone rang and am answering it. Then start saying how you're not due in court until a certain date and that your anger management class doesn't seem to be helping, but it might be because you stopped taking your anti depressants and that even though your family doesn't like you carrying the gun everywhere, you just don't feel safe without it.

Be polite at first and tell them that I was in line before them.

If that doesn't work, I tell them to get in the back of the fucking line.

If that doesn't happen, at the risk of getting thrown out, when they set their crap on the counter I'd throw it off and put my own stuff up there.

hah, i like this approach.

Last week when someone stole my parking spot (for the 2nd time in my life) that I obviously waited for, I got out and went off on them... my anger got the best of me - there was no stopping me at that point and I'm usually pretty reserved. He eventually left and I got in. God the nerve of some people... if they want confrontation... they got it. I just can't believe the assholes out there.

During black friday while waiting on line for Staples, some dude (evilguy) cut in front of another (goodguy) who was just in front of him, but evilguy wasn't aware of this. He somehow "lost his place" in line because he wasn't standing in a straight line like everyone else. WTF... but all goodguy did was shake his head and let it be.
