The idea that it's ok for the US government to ship whoever it likes to a country that they are not from where they could be sold into real life slavery is one of the grossest things I've ever fucking seen. Too many people have guzzled down the propaganda that were being invaded by immigrants and the border was wide open during Biden's term. It's not true but I see people saying he let in 21 million people all the time. Of course I wouldn't call those people reasonable but here we are.

Looks like 10 million is the magic number, or just over 6800 a day if you prefer smaller numbers. Would any other nation on the planet tolerate that?

As far as I'm aware, the current estimated undocumented immigrant population in the USA is 11 million (per Homeland Security).

Start pulling over and arresting DHS who's operating registered vehicles without license plates or changing plates to avoid detection. Both of which are against the law.

Doesn't change the fact that right wingers are lying about it, the vast majority of these people are not criminals and a lot of them would be legal residents if our immigration program wasn't total shit in this country. What exactly is the problem with more people coming here, we have plenty of space and most of these people just want to work. In another thread you were bemoaning the lack of tradespeople in this country, maybe instead of hoping for other people to lose their jobs and be forced into trades we should let more people immigrate here to do those jobs.

Also, do you agree with the way this admin is going about this? Do you really think masked thugs who refuse to identify themselves going around kidnapping people is the answer? I'm pretty sure you're one of the people claiming you support legal immigration, how do you feel about ICE arresting people who are following the immigration laws here?

It's all about cruelty. He thinks blue collar workers are better than white collar workers, so he wants them to lose their jobs to be forced into working blue collar jobs that they don't want to do. He doesn't like immigrants, so he'd rather break up their families and deport them than let them stay here and work blue collar jobs.

The obvious solution is exactly what you said, allow people to come here who want to work the jobs that we need. But that's thinking like a normal, compassionate person, instead of just an asshole.

My ancestors moved to America and worked hard so that I could sit on my ass inside enjoying air conditioning and to send an email like every 5 minutes. This was 100% the goal for their descendants. You know what they would say to people who think my family should be involuntarily shoved down the ladder because of culture war nonsense? The equivalent of "get fucked" in their native language.

The US population was 332 million in 2021, and 340 million in 2024 when Biden left office.
