Why not link to the more complete version of the story? The fellow was convicted of racketeering and drug trafficking. He was in detention awaiting deportation and was found unresponsive.
ICE didn't kill him, they tried to revive him.

The only part of this that matters is "illegal". When you do something that's illegal there are often consequences to that action. It doesn't matter how many or how few commit the crime, it doesn't matter if they're really nice people that you'd want to marry your daughter. The crime is what matters, the crime is the focus, the crime is what will be adjudicated.
I'm more than a little surprised this needs to be explained.

Then why are you not advocating for Trumps arrest and deporting melania?

If you jail companies who hire illegals then less would come here. It is so simple

Note if you violate at anytime you visa / immigration papers it is a instant deportation and loose your citizenship full stop

The stories of overcrowding, substandard nutrition, substandard sanitation, and often a near complete lack of any medical services are legion especially lately for those detained. ICE is also, illegally, refusing to admit members of congress to these facilities who conduct oversight. I don't find it particularly difficult to believe that negligence is going to contribute to increasingly bad outcomes for the people in custody.

Ohhh that is rich

The complete story is he was a permanent legal resident since 1991 .. he was caught in 2023 for the charges and was released … he was caught at his probation office

He already served his sentence making him “rehabilitated” if he violated anything he should have been sent back prior to his incarceration

It is also the responsibility of any law enforcement to make sure the suspects are properly treated prior to trail. Law enforcement are not the judge / jury / executioner

Oh good. He was a criminal, so it's no clearly no big deal that he died in likely overcrowded and under-resourced detention conditions. Thanks for clearing that up.

Have you heard the story of these detention centers. People fighting over food and water where they get very little. One woman detained illegally said she was in a room 60 people only 3 open toilets

If that happened to @Greenman he would be really mad. But since it hasn’t why are these people whining about some minor inconveniences?

That has nothing to do with my comment. You linked a redit post that claims ICE killed a white guy. There are several far more complete stories available that give details that totally change that narrative.

ICE killed this person. But you are cool with that because you aren’t him.

The kooks in the forum want as few facts as possible thus random Reddit posts are the word of god.

I've told plenty of "complete" stories about Trump and you still deny them. What's your point?

I already stated my point 3 posts up.
You now appear to be stating that having posted other stories about Trump that I disagreed with lends credence to this one.

Are not detention centers responsible for the people they have? If properly watched a timely response would have occurred for his medical incident. Overcrowded conditions leads to neglect.

Question for you Greenie, if you are approached by someone dressed like federal law enforcement agent. no proper ID, no warrant, no identifying agency labeling, armed, refusing to give you his serial number and his face is covered. He tries to arrest you and throw you into a van.

How do you respond? Before you say "it wouldn't happen" this example is happening all over the country including the democrats murdered in Minnesota.

That's absolutely a possibility, but there is nothing in the story so far to indicate when or why the fellow died.

Someone being a bad person doesn't absolve a horrible agency doing horrible things of its responsibility to ensure people are safely housed and cared for when they are in custody.

I'm not sure how federal law enforcement agents dress, but with no badge and a covered face I would refuse to go with them. I'm assuming that this confrontation doesn't happen while I'm engaged in a riot or looting.
I'll have to go look for information about these events having already occurred and what lead up to them.

Edit: You're talking about the loon that was impersonating an officer and killing politicians. That has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

There are plenty of other examples including a woman robbed in Philadelphia by a cosplaying federal agent.

Check them out and get back to us.

Looks like a big chunk of "undocumented immigrants" are a "problem" completely created by the current administration's actions that turn people from some legal status to illegal status. Gotta juice those deportation numbers on the backs of people that fled for their lives from their former country.

Since Grennie thinks ICE isn't killing people here is a case where ICE almost killed someone but a local Mayor with quick thinking prevented it.

If we look further into this story, the 6 year old with cancer was a gang member so he probably deserved it. /Greenman, probably

Another one since you unlikely to look at actual evidence.

ICE uses explosives to blast into the home of a US citizen. The woman was home with her 2 young kids.. I thought according to law ICE cannot enter a home without a warrant?
