Why should he lose his job?

What makes your opinion on gay rights more important than his stance against gays?

Gays want equal rights, but are not willing to give equal respect.

In other words, you will not support an organization that does not support an immoral lifestyle?

It's immoral to you but not to him, further more dont you think he has every right to not support any company he wants for whatever reason he wants?

Why don't you chic fil a the situation and start buying a ton of crap from the SA? I have a feeling a lot of the stuff they have will be an upgrade for you anyway;)

Oh, I dunno... Maybe the fact one of those guys is a genocidal sociopathic maniac who wants millions of of human beings DEAD and the other does not?

Gays want equal rights, but are not willing to give equal respect.
Wat. Your trolling really is atrociously bad!

This is ancient strawman claptrap, nobody is required to respect anyone who wishes them dead you know. That doesn't even make sense, at all.

In other words, you will not support an organization that does not support an immoral lifestyle?
There's no such thing as "an immoral lifestyle", because morality is not absolute. There are however, bigoted hypocrites, and quite frequently they happen to be christian.

You ignore the fact that the vast majority of societies throughout the world shun homosexuality.

Everyone is a bigot in some shape and fashion. We just have to reach a certain point and you will be willing to trample on the rights of others.

Your "gays and having children" thread makes so much more sense now. You couldn't even hold your defense of the silly argument you made in that thread. Now you're back with more of your anti-gay diatribe. Hang it up.

I'm not sure what this "not willing to give equal respect" thing is. The only people with the problem are people like you.

What exactly is an immoral lifestyle?

The only people with the problem are people who live an immoral lifestyle and then demand equal rights.

Having sexual relations with someone of the same sex.

"Rights" are not granted according to your moral standards.

The law is nothing more than a reflection of public opinion at the time.

The Constitution is what all laws must be congruent with... and it does not depend on public opinion.

What's right isn't always popular, and what's popular isn't always right.

Until the vast majority of people accept gays, they will always be denied certain rights.

Personally, I think gays should be granted equal rights across the board.

But with equal rights also comes equal responsibility.

As for the opening post, I think he should keep his job. If we can not speak our opinion, than what good is freedom of speech.

Are you willing to be judged by your own standard of judgment? If so, there is no need for mercy or grace for you as well. Did Jesus come into to this world to condemn? I think not. Please do yourself a favor and think about this for more than just a few seconds.

So if zsdersw hadn't asked whether this person would be allowed to keep his job, and instead had said that everyone opposed to homosexuality "must die" you'd be OK with it? I mean, it doesn't get more equal in terms of respect than wishing death upon someone who wishes death upon you, right? How else do you propose "equal respect" should work when someone says "that group of people should die?"

Even though I disagree with it, I see no reason to get upset about it.

Do you personally know any religious people - family, friends, co-workers? Is that what you think about all of them?

Shrug, I personally tend to give religious folks a pass. The vast majority of them were quite literally brain washed as children so its hard to blame them for believing in absurd fairy tales now that they are adults.

That isn't how we got rid of slavery or segregation... people like you have to deal with reality each and every time.

When your opinion is that an entire portion of our society should die your views tend to be seen as rather extreme. People with extreme views should generally know to keep their mouths shut or pay the consequences for opening them.

Its not like he just said he disagreed with gays or didn't like gay folk he was saying they should die.

We "all" have something about society we do not like, and we all have to deal with it each and every time.

Every time I see someone on welfare pull out their food stamp card I get pissed off. But you know something, its just part of life.

And you are using a 2,000 year old poorly written fairy tale to define "immoral lifestyle" in which to deprive people of said rights?

If you grew up dirt poor and hungry I imagine you wouldn't get so pissed off. Count your blessings my good friend.
