i was carjacked

The details were my car was crashed into another car and 3 suspects tried running away on foot away, but nearby police apprehended all of them. They found the keys on one of the guys but the police did not tell me who as to not sway the investigation. They called me in and I id'ed one of the 3 suspects as likely my original attacker, I hope it is enough to get the charge to stick. Two of the 3 were juveniles, but again i don't know who.

The car is wrecked, the fender smashed, driver side wheel, suspension, axle, lines, etc. is ripped out, the hood and door do not open correctly anymore. The interior is totally trashed with spills, cigarette butts, grass, dirt. I have told insurance to trash the car.

Sorry that i will probably not update this situation much anymore, it is consuming a lot of my life and since it may go to trial I probably should not write too much more about it.

Well, I hope you help put this piece of ****** away for some serious time. You are in CA....maybe he has used up his 3 strikes. SOB will get life. Ill cross my fingers for such a judgement.

Do you really think he would "get better" after being in a rehabilitation clinic for a certain amount of time? The success rate for those things is so low that it is ridiculous.

ugh, i found out yesterday he is being released after just 60 days because he is a juvenile and he is going on probation.

man, i never realized how f*cked up this "justice" system is. They did not even charge him with assault.

That?s' frustrating, don't get me started on how much lawyers have jacked up the justice system. :disgust:

He was let go after this? Probably displayed as a hero in his neighborhood now... went to jail, came out in 60 days, stole a car, etc.
 
I don't condone vigilante justice...but stories like this make it easier for me to turn a blind eye to it.
 
Wow dude, sorry about the turn of events there. That sucks royaly.

I'm not big into internet bad assery (i.e. I'm not bragging here, this is just a f'ed up situation for the OP), but I'd handle justice myself in this case. It sounds like no one else will if you don't.

It's amazing what can happen to people by accident years down the road after you yourself have long been forgotten and will not be considered a suspect should this guy come up hurt.

I'd give him the same consideration he gave you and not let him see you coming. Hell, don't ever let him see or know it's you period, and speak of it to no one afterwards.

I"M NOT CONDONING THIS, I'm just saying, no one here would blame you.......
 
Absolutely disgusting, on both the low-life's and the "justice" system's part.

This is why I have a knife within easy reach as I get in my truck, and a machete under the rear seat if they still need more.
 
If you ahve not recieved full funding for your car and medical bills (if any) then file a civil suit against him. If its less then a certain amount then do small claims.
 
Wow, so being under 18 basically gives you a free pass in our justice system. That doesn't seem right.

But, ya, you can bet if possible I'd be suing him and his family and Best Buy.................and frickin McDonald's for the hell of it. Having his and/or parents meager earnings for the next 10 years garnished would be a nice weekly reminder of his actions.

if you are in socal, plate is 5EGX823, it has a chrome rear license plate frame that says "Cal Poly Pomona" and has no front plate. If you see this car please call the police. If possible tell them where it is headed. I don't care so much about the car being recovered but the guy apprehended.
