i was carjacked

yes i saw a specialist a while ago, i had surgery, total cost of med bills was around 15K

Even if he is charged as an adult he only gets 3 years in the pokey?!?

Man, and I thought our justice system was screwed up. At least here we are allowed to shoot the bastards (including having more liberal gun laws than Texas).

actually i spoke to a DA lawyer today and said even for first time, unarmed adult offenders, they would basically only get weekends in jail for a couple months. WTF.

But yeah the guy was released today. :frown:

He did get almost 5 years probation, but otherwise just means go home.

man, i need to move out of this state.



 

the details were that they cut another bargain because the judge was upset this was almost double jeopardy, so they had to switch the charge from carjack to assault and could not get anything more meaningful besides another year or two probation.
