OP, Although the skits from the Chapelle Show were very funny and playing a white guy for halloween is all in good fun, it does portray the disparity in racial acceptance nowadays. There is a growing imbalance in the way people view race.

Seriously OP, you don't see any white guys trying to dress up as black guys for Halloween for a cheap gag. If they did, they would be labeled a racist, bigot, or even beat up. Yet somehow the opposite would be acceptable? I understand it is for fun, but you can see the social construct of today's society just from this. :(

I wore overalls, a straw hat, and painted my face black one year. My girlfriend at the time went as a witch and wouldn't dress up as the "white" farmers daughter like I wanted her too!

We hit the first two houses and they were both black families.....needless to say I only got mean looks instead of candy :(

So I wiped off the face paint.

If I did that again today I'd likely be sued for racism.

It's okay for a black guy to go white though huh?

Once you go white, you're DY-NO-MITE!!!

If you want it to be convincing you'll need to do something about your nose and lips. I've seen props to make wide noses/lips thinner but I don't remember where. I don't think you'll be able to pick them up at a Walmart, lol.

Not ot mention ATOTs hypocrisy. IF a white guy posted he wanted to go as a black guy the majority of the post would be calling for his ban (and they would get it).

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to do this idea. :(

I was thinking the party where I would be going for this would be the 28th, but it turns out that it's going to be the day after tomorrow. I don't think anything I purchase online is going to come through in time, and I know that we don't have any good costume places anywhere near where I live (just a Party City 15 minutes away).
