On another note, I just got a fairly decent car, or at least I am attatched to it. But it is too old for onstar and lojack is not in my area. What are other reliable car security systems that I could try?

Well what I do is remove my fuel pump relay and maf relays. Its pretty hard to get around that kind of security system.

Open the hood remove battery. 2nd, find power wire to alarm, remove. Next hook battery back up and drive away.

Alarms will stop joy riders and rookies, they will NEVER stop the pros.

The best thing rigth now is to have On-Star in your car/truck. If it gets stolen, call GM (On-Star) and just ask "Dude... Wheres my car!!!"

Battery backup is a great thing.
