I used to own a car, now I own an empty parking space and a police report number.

Mustangs seem like popular targets... my college room mate had his 86 Mustang with a 347 stolen only a couple months after he completely rebuilt the new 347. I think he had about $6000 in the engine alone... money aside, it's a shytty feeling when something you put so much time and sweat into gets taken from you and there's not a whole lot you can do about it. Sons of bitches!

Cops called me Monday. They found my car that was stolen last March. It was locked up at a bus station in another part of the state. Not my car anymore, belongs to AAA. :)

Your stang got stolen?
Sh!tty.

Guess you can't ask people what kind of car they own now, and act all stuck up. muaahahah

that sucks ass. Hope you find it.

But I gotta ask...you can afford to modify your Mustang, but you can't afford proper insurance to protect your investment?

I feel your pain my friend. I'm suing my motorsport place here very soon(maybe next week) if they don't answer the demand from my lawyer and ship my fvcking car back now.

I hope they recover it Tyler. Good luck.

Heh... with my old Integra GSR, there were 3-4 theft attempts on it every damned year for all 5 years I owned it. And that was just when I went out, otherwise it was garaged every damned night! Had a great alarm on it though, so no one ever got it, but one asshole did get inside and cause a little bit of damage. I sold it last summer.

Don't let the trolls here get you down, NotFred... things will get better. :)

I think suicide is the proper answer and way out.

Remember, follow the tracks, don't cross them.

Just have a hidden switch that connects the power to the fuel pump. Hide that under the seat and flip it everytime the car gets parked. Problem solved.

Well, the fellow who said that killing oneself over a car is silly was right. Also as vic and another guy mentioned things will get better because they always do. Only thing is, it's like the stock market, and you can't always tell when things are at rock bottom, but follow that stock market (or life), and generally things do go up :)

You're not dumb notfred, and I'd bet that over the last while you've learned some lessons, even if you can't apply them right now to your future or even see what the hell they taught you.

And, of course that's easy for somebody on the outside to say, but the more ups and downs in my own life I encounter the more faith I have in the fact that the ups generally make up for the downs, and then some, even if it takes a while and doesn't seem like it's possible at the time.

Notfred

I feel your pain guy. I bought an old 1973 Camaro when I was 15, fixed it up to be streetable, and was ready to get my license two weeks before my 16th birthday. The monday of the week of my drivers test, it was stolen and found stripped in Camden NJ. They took EVERYTHING. My 396 engine was literally a stripped block of steel sitting in the front of a subframe. My tear ducts worked overtime for two weeks. Lesson learned was that this time I bought another 73 Z, and had a lojack welded to the frame and full coverage on it.

Sorry for your loss. But trust me Guy, it gets better.

Jesus. I can't imagine living in a place where car theft was so rampant. :Q

Around here people leave their damn garage doors wide open without thought. Hell, I'd venture to guess 25% of the people don't even lock their front door.

Yeah, I had my Integra GS-R sedan stolen and stripped down to a bare shell. No big deal - my insurance company was very generous.

Sorry, Notfred - I hope you get your ride back!

Tyler,

Please take care of yourself. I know it's tough, but suicide isn't the way -- my good friend just shot himself last week, and if you're considering it, please talk to someone about it. Good luck with the car; I've had my car stolen before, and it REALLY sucks.

Tyler I'm really sorry to hear about your car:(

I know this sounds stupid, but it's just a thing & it doesn't define you, in a sense you think it does but it really doesn't.

Also, even if you'd had it insured with comprehensive coverage, you'd be on the phone right now with some moron that doesn't know the difference between a valve stem & a supercharger arguing about what the car was worth, and you'd lose, they have this damn formula that they go buy unless you pay for extra coverage & if they realize the performance mods you did they'd prob deny you insurance anyway.

I love cars & bikes, but after I totaled 3 of them and tried to tell the ins company that they were collector's items, or were in literally perfect condition, etc, I gave up & started buying & running stock stuff like the rest of the lemmings:( (I never had anything I'd invested the kind of time & $ youd managed into your Mustang though, it was a nice ride).

As far as the break up, they royally suck, but the fact is, the more people you date/have relationships with (up to a certain point) give you a foundation for a better relationship in the future.

That blows. In the highly unlikely situation of you ever finding out who did it, I'd be willing to loan you my UT-6, as long as you wipe the blood off and oil that sucker back up again (rust being the downside to a high carbon blade).
