.

Curious as i've never had the opportunity to try one yet, what's the crust like? crispy/chewy or flaky? Does the large amount of cheese/pepperoni make it super greasy? Is it any good to eat the next day?

We have some good pizza joints in urban Jersey City but nothing great. One of the better places has a large 18" Meat Lovers (Bacon, Sausage and Pepperoni) for 19 bucks. It's worth every penny. Chain store pizza necessary 505 not found
papa johns usually has a 50% off coupon for any large specialty pizza. (so $8.)
but ever since they reduced the size of their large pizza from 16" to 14", I've been going to Costco.

Costco 18" 5 topping pizza $10 (Sausage, Pepperoni, veggies)
$9 if you buy it frozen and heat it up at home.

And who the hell tips the cashier for take out pizza?

I've been a Costco member for well over 10 years and love the company and how it's run. I do 99% of my shopping at Costco and Amazon plus JackThreads for some clothes. You know I rarely eat at Costco - I think I had a hot dog there once. I finally had a piece of their combo pizza earlier this week and was not impressed. It was tasty but maybe slightly above average overall. Too greasy, crust too thick, doughy, etc..

don't get me wrong.. Costco wasn't the BEST pizza I've eaten.
but is still tasty and for $10 for an 18" pie with all the toppings, is best bang buck

I don't understand why peeps buy the store bought stuff. I make my own dough. I guess that is half the fun to us, I like making my own stuff :)

Publix makes very good dough on a daily basis in the Bakery pretty cheap, it's just not worth making it at home as far as I'm concerned.

It is basically the same as we would make as far as dough goes, without the hassle and they have the ingredients in bulk so it is cheaper also.

We have made dough in the past many times.

They do the same thing in bulk daily I guess, and is what their bakery does for a business.

I find it hard to justify making pizza dough that is the same we would make at home at a higher cost and the time letting yeast rise etc.
