You misunderstand. I'm not saying you should pay for it. I'm just wondering why you are crying about it. There are plenty of tools provided that takes care of the issues. 1 being to not pay for it but then why spend so much energy whining about it. There are many tools given to earmuff yourself from that behavior...and yeah I think it is overstated. I remember 1 time in the 2 years I've been on XBL that a couple of people were hurling racial and other insults constantly but whatever I'm not offended easily. I just can't imagine it being as bad as you state since I play on XBL almost everyday for an hour or 2 and rarely notice anything other than normal cursing.

It's a stretch to say that 20 million 360 users aren't happy with Live Gold according to MS. Especially for the reasons you are intimating. Especially without any sort of proof/linkage. If anything, the people that don't have Live Gold probably are far more likely to fall into one of the following categories:
1) Don't want to pay for it
2) Don't know about it
3) Don't want to pay for it
4) Parents won't let them play online yet
5) Don't want to pay for it
This. Even when I played the two games that attract the douchebags the most (Halo and Gears of War) the over the top racist comments were few and far between.

I can't find the current number of Xbox live subscribers, but it looks like on around May 28,2009 xbox live hit 20 million subscribers.
So you are telling me that the majority, almost ALL people who subscribe to XBL, aren't happy?
I'm sorry but without some very good proof I think everything you say is BS.

Live is always pointed out as the 360's big strength. Honestly after my time I wouldn't play on Live! if you paid me, and yes I mean that seriously. Both the PC and the PS3 provide VASTLY superior environments IME, mainly because you aren't dealing with the absurd level of racism and homophobia you do on Live!. This is something MS should have never allowed to get as far as it did. They are collecting hundreds of millions of years off of Live!, is it too much to ask that they police it constantly?
I make a big issue of this because if MS doesn't do anything about it it will only get worse, and believe me I would be all over Sony if they allowed the same. MS just seems to be of the more, "good ole boy", I guess you could say, philosophy when it comes to these sorts of things. Anyway, check out some of the links I provided, then go check out gamertags and when the last time some of those people have logged in. It is shocking how little MS does.
MS stated there were 10Million Gold Live! subscribers at their most recent update, their are 30 Million 360 owners. The 20 Million number if for Silver or Gold, so anyone who has their 360 on line.

MS does have a team of people who police Live actively, but with millions of players it's impossible for them to catch every instance of bad behavior. If you encounter unacceptable behavior and it bothers you, you need to file a complaint. It's very easy to do. It's also easy to block communications from any individual user. You can also restrict communications so you can only hear your friends.

Where did MS say there was 20 million unhappy users on XBL and where is the proof? You said that there 20 million Gold/Silver subscribers combined and 10 million (probalby more by now) gold subscribers. You previously said there are 20 million unhappy people on XBL.

If there are only 10 million gold subscribers then what does this have to do with headsets/racism? The silver members can't play games online so they wouldn't be able to hear any thing over their headsets.

There are 30 million 360 users, there are 10 million Live Gold users. 20 million 360 users are not Live Gold users, therefore they can not possibly be happy Gold Live users now can they?

I deal with facts, and your facts/statements are wrong and you have provided no proof on the fact that "20 Million 360 users aren't happy with Live Gold" For them to be unhappy with Live Gold,they have to have it.
How many times can you reply without posting some proof?
If no proof is necessary, I'll then tell you that 9 million Xbox 360 Live Gold subscribers are happy with the service. Believe me?

In English, "aren't happy with" is generally interpreted to mean "are unhappy with," which is the way everyone else interpreted your statement. You are correct that if there are 20 million people who have not subscribed to Xbox Live Gold, those 20 million people couldn't possibly be happy Xbox Live Gold users. This is of course meaningless information; it tells us nothing other than that there are 20 million Xbox owners who don't use Xbox Live Gold. It doesn't tell us why they don't use it or how they feel about it.
Keep the 360, get both. Or all three. There are valid reasons to own all, and you get to play any game that comes out. Unless you're strapped for cash, and can only have one or the other, I would own both.

More exclusives? Care to list them? Most of the 360's top exclusives are available for the PC. Which is where I prefer to play most games. Multiplatform better on the 360? Again, not hardly. Just because someone doesn't have live doesn't mean they are unhappy with it. There are about a billion reasons why someone might not subscribe to live.
Money, internet, do they play online? Will their parents let them get it? Yatta yatta...
To assume every person who doesn't have live, doesn't like live, just because they don't have it....
Well its idiotic at the least.
That said. I think 95% of unbiased people will tell you the 360 live is a superior product to PS3's online play. This coming from someone who recently purchased a PS3 and desperately wants to justify his purchase.

As for the jerks on XBOX Live yes, they are there, and maybe in slightly greater numbers than on PSN and/or the PC because of the headset coming with most of the systems. I totally agree. Blu-ray is far superior in image quality to upscaled DVDs, especially on an HDTV.

I honestly had no intention of creating a 'troll' thread. Take a look at all my posts and you'll see that I have never posted anything like this.
I see all the pros and cons of each and like i said, i'm going to get a ps3 in addition to the 360. Another problem is that I have friends on both systems so now it's going to be a pita to figure out who to play with on any given night.
