don't moan about debt when it's all your own doing. I mean putting in all that money into the car is not a necessity.

I'm about £6000 in debt with student loans, don't owe anything on my Credit Cards (well about £100!). The way I see it that cash is an investment in my future.

<< $10k is nothing :) I owe about $20k and that doesn't include a house OR even a new car. Gotta love those student loans! Of course $15k of this is currently costing me a mere 4.75% interest, so that's pretty sweet ;) >>

Yes. For those of you who did not get in on that loan consolidation hot deal last year, shame on you!

I'm currently just under $16k in debt, but the interest rate is 4.7%. I figured out that by doing the consolidation, I will save myself about $1500 over the life of the loan. That is a fine hot deal.

What I find interesting though is that I also have a loan from my parents, from whom I bought my car. They're charging me 6% interest! Not that it's a bad interest rate, compared to what I would likely get from a bank. I just think it's interesting that my parents apparenetly view me as a higher risk than the government does. :D

30K in debt just b/c of my car :p. CC has couple hundreds but i always pay them off as i get billed. I know a friend who owes 100K in debt but his making 100K+ per year so his paying like crazy.
