Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

In my opinion the fact that the other guy exists is much less a problem then the fact that she outright lied to you several times. Now im sure she lied in your best intrest, to protect you, but theres something fundementally wrong here.

The best thing is to end it now, and go into no contact. Doing so will allow you to rethink things, get over her, and then when your ready you can decide if you really want to pursue things any further. Making any decisions other than to not be in the relationship at this point are not fair to yourself, you are in too deep to see clearly.

Been Visiting the forums since 1999,Made a few posts until 2000 .After that lurking, dont remember my earlier ID, i just stopped posting for a few months, my email account expired, password forgotten..yada yada yada...didnt post ever since.

Came across this thread today, didnt look like a relationship that couldnt be salvaged. To many opinions against working on it, I've looked at relationships, ive called a b%$^# a b%$^# when I see one.I think this woman/girl is not one. Compassion is what is needed rather than looking at a traditional way of "she make out with him, i dump her, she lie, i dump", all the factors have to be taken into consideration, give love a chance, nothing to lose by holding on for another couple of months, especially when it is a relationship that is 3.5 yrs old.

If I loved a chick and she moved 300 miles away, I'd move 300 miles to be close to her....it sounds like, if your life is a mess, that that wouldn't have been a bad thing necessarilly. Then again, I can't imagine a chick who loved me moving 300 miles away without being sure I'd go with her.

So it looks like it's over, homeboy. Neither of you actually loves the other....despite what you feel. Break up with some dignity and heroically move on.

YOU IDIOT!

GET AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN NOW!!! STOP BEING AN IDIOT

DO NOT TAKE THIS AS "love makes you do craaaaazy things!" YOU ARE NOT IN LOVE

It was her fault for lying to you and cheating on you. IT WAS YOUR FAULT for not dropping that bitch as soon as she confessed!

Blow her off! Don't even think about giving her a second chance. She spreads webs of lies and deceit, this much is obvious.

If a bitch cheats once, she will cheat again. Do not trust a woman that tells you that she loves you while she sees other guys. Find someone else! As soon as she cheats and lies to you about it, that's your sign to GET THE FVCK OUT OF DODGE

In what way is she using and abusing him?...this thread looks ridiculously one sided...OH admits that he was not a good bf too..why not give her a chance...i know of a situation where a guy was in this girls place...just freakin confused....after the storm things have been perfect for them....and i've heard much worse, i think you should hold on...i think people here are going to strangle me...i think the folks here are pretty ruthless, just not the right way to look at relationships...what is there to lose by showing a little more patience???. Anyways its just MHO ...think smart...dont get emotional in building resentment and anger..be forgiving...play it cool..give it some time...if it doesnt work out.."tell urself that it is ok and that it wasnt meant to be"

cool party...bitch this..bitch that...

anyways..this kinda thing happened in many relationships where people do things when insecure and needy...or just needed help...there are many relationships that have gone through this phase yet succeeded really well...
what u need here is the strength to move on if things dont work out and not negativity to just give up without giving a try....

It's classic psycho chick. Have 2-3 guys strung along while you pursue long-term possibilities with 1 of them. He's playing in the minors waiting to be called up.

You are so naive? are you m or f? Either way you'v clearly never had much experience dealing with women or relationships in general. You are just playing devils advocate.

patience and time? - why he's been plenty patient up until now. He is too young to be wasting his youth on a relationship that is less than the best. Do you really see them living happily ever after with kids? GET REAL!

emotional decision? no way this is logical decision here. She is a liar, cheater, manipulator and who knows what else.....LOGICALLY SHE ISNT GF MATERIAL

Where is the OP in this discussion, I want to hear what he has to say given everything that's been said.

There is no justification for cheating and lying. If you don't like the person you're with, break up with them.

which is soon followed by the "YAGT: How I got played so fvcking bad and didn't even see it coming".

Which are in turn followed by any number and variety of "RANT: fvck women, anger bang ftw! (read: please help me get some, i've become so bitter that girls can't look at me without laughing at how pathetically twisted and broken i am)"

not to play the devils advocate.the only reason i created a login was to give my opinion on this, the situation is not as bad as it seems to be, patience is requiancered.pclstyles opinion is a more balanced look i guess.im a male.

where are you from? certainly not america!

"requiancered" was a typo..im not american yes...but i did grow up in an urban culture that is increasingly being modelled around american culture, especially in the same way stated in this thread..the mix and match..dump easy...or sayin i love you to 6 different people in a ten year time frame...or thinking that love can be found again and again..it is not the same..and thinkin you were in love 6 times...or being fickle and empowered in a stupid way like stated on american girlie tv shows....just a gut feel thats all..was stating my take.

I am the OP. I am here to say I have NEVER been more confused in my life than I am right now. Everything in my life, and in my future was to revolve around her. I want to stay with her but at the same time I want to forget her completely.

I was hurt once in another relationship as well. **PAST RELATIONSHIP** This girl was someone I was going to get engaged with, she was 21, I was 19(yea, TOO YOUNG, I know) but I found out she was sleeping around - it hurt, alot, but this relationship, and the situation stings so much more. I seriously dont know what to do here.

Save yourself a lifetime of pain and get rid of her. Cheating is not a forgiveable offence.

you are very co-dependant it souunds like, you have no idea who you are outside of the context of being in a relationship with a girl. Be single for a while and figure out who you are without a girl in your life. Then you will be able to have a healthy balanced relationship where you can fully trust and communicate to your SO.

Obviously at this point you don't want to feel like you wasted so much time but.....you gotta cut your losses at soem point.
