<--------- likes fried chicken, watermelon, Little Hug juice drinks (and is white)

Meh. You came off as if you like watermelon, which is never a bad thing.

You may or may not be. Do you always assume that:

- the inhabitants of trailer parks are white trash?
- people coming out of a church service are good?
- everybody on a computer bulletin board is a geek?

You might just be an unthinking stereotyper. Or a wannabe profiler - maybe the fbi would be a good fit.

YOU, Sir, are a stereotypical stereotyper of stereotypers. Typical!

Facts about black people:

They can't swim
They like: fried chicken, watermelon, Little Hug juice drinks

I had to google little hug. I have seen those "juice barrels" before but I had never heard them by little hug.

Little Hugs are THE premier man made fruit juice sold in miniature plastic barrels.

Me thinks there must be more to it that this? Damn and I thought I was sensitive about racial issues!

Sure you didn't say "Damn n*ga you gots some watamelooon!" And came over in a doo rag flashing fake gansta signs? Then subsequently mentally blocked the rest out?

I am black and I don't think its racist. I think its quite funny actually

For the stereotypes: I like chicken but I usually take the skin off of it, I don't like watermelon (My uncle makes fun of me for this...his own words "Somthin' ain't right Lil' Mike"), I like grape soda and orange soda, but my absolute favorite is root beer.

You mean purple soda, right? 😉

I've always wondered about that stereotype. I have yet to meet a black person who doesn't love watermelon. It's just fascinating. I see nothing racist about it. I just laugh that it's the one stereotype (of any race, well besides asians and rice, but is that a stereotype or just now accepted fact? lol) that I have thus far seen go unbroken.

So only black people like watermelon now?

Black people stereotypically love watermelon, but no such stereotypes exist for whites.

I wasn't aware of this stereotype...

Glad I was not the only one, and I grew up in the south! All kids loved watermelon, blacks, whites etc.

What is it about the south that makes watermelon so popular? It is definitely something I've seen more in Southern folk, regardless of race.

+

I am black and I don't really like watermelon.
