When I worked in SF I spoiled myself with the various Sushi joints there. Now I have next to nothing in terms of choices.

I Never ever order Sashimi because my dad makes the best. He'd go fishing @ glouchester and filet the same fish at the same day.. No restaurant can beat that freshness.. 30-40 slices of the best sashimi for free... I was surprised when I found out that ppl actually pay $5-7 for 3, 4 pieces.. damn

maybe I can hook u up during this summer.. ;)

actually, last time i had sushi i was talking to the chef, he said it's best to freeze the fish for 2-3 days i beleive

WHERE?! I'm in Eugene, and we're planning on moving to Portland in the next three months (I grew up there). :D

I had some rolls called "Dragon rolls" a few months ago, I guess I shoulda known they'd be so damn spicey! Really good without all the hot sauce on top of it, tuna inside.

he gave a reason, i cant remember why, someone had asked him if its ok to just catch fish and make sushi right away, and he said its best to freeze them

You guys pay way too much for sushi. Here we get an 8 piece tuna/salmon/whatever roll for $2.50 cdn. There's this good all you can eat place here where their lunch special is $10 cdn. I had 6 tuna sashimi, 6 salmon sashimi, 3 each of the salmon and tuna nigiri, 3 each of tuna and salmon rolls, 3 spicy tuna rolls, 6 california rolls, 2 oysters, and a bunch of other stuff my friend didn't finish... all for $10 cdn :D
