I know I will probably be flamed, but what does Pot really do for you?

It is weird that the paranoid factor comes into play for so many.
I have diagnosed ADHD and I get the opposite effects from certain things. Like coffee and Red Bull calm me down and weed and things like it make me super hyper. I found a nice balance by just drinking good scotch. One the plus side of having severe ADHD is that I have never had a hangover. And I have drunk until I black out but wake up in a few hours all energized!

I only got that once when I was young. I had a pretty decent bud in my wallet. It got compressed, and it was a good bit better than I was used to, so me and friend smoked too much, and we both weirded out. Thought there was something added to it :^D

I got the paranoia when I took it but I think I would have been fine had I been at home. I'm very introverted so the idea of being high and losing control of my body in public just didn't bode well with me. I'm also on the autism spectrum (super low) so who knows maybe that has an effect too somehow.

If I was to try it again, it would be at home, at the start of a nice stretch of time off, so I don't have to worry about anything but just sit at home and eat pizza.

To a large extent, pot gives you what you go in looking for. If you want to party, light up another one. If you want to be quiet and introspective, got ya covered. If you want to zone out and groove on some tunes, good to go. If you want to laugh with friends till your gut aches, cheers. If your waiting for your world to change, paranoia will destroy ya.

never tried it because it's illegal

It's interesting here, it's not really legal, but it's not treated that badly either and cops generally don't care. If you do or have done weed you're not allowed to visit the states though. Lot of Canadians have been getting banned because they did weed at one point in their lives. Seems the states take it way more seriously. There was a 4/20 event here and there was even a cop there. He was mostly there to make sure nothing bad happens. Not to arrest anyone. I was asked to go fly my drone there and the cop seemed more concerned about that than people doing weed lol. The drone rules here are super strict.

Canadians reciprocate, at least with driving while intoxicated offenses. At least that's what I hear, but I do know at least one person who had one and a group of us all made it over. Then again, we did get pulled inside so they could look at our documents more or whatever.

Also yes, this country has historically taken it ridiculously seriously when it comes to weed.

Pot, like so many (but not all) other drugs, tends to bring out and then amplify whatever is hiding just below the surface in your psyche anyway. It's not really the drug, you know . . . it's YOU!

Case in point: Angry Drunk vs. Happy Drunk. Same "drug", just different people.

Remember this before you blame the pot or the alcohol or whatever . . . "Wherever you go, there you are!" 😎

I have never seen or heard of an angry combative stoner. I'm sure they probably exist but, pot pretty much inhibits those tendencies. The craziest effect I've ever witnessed was with a bunch of friends playing frisbee, one of the kids became convinced he could catch a squirrel and ran half way up a fir tree trying.

I don't really do it, but have in the past. (Don't want to risk trouble at work)
1.) sleep aid
2.) pain killer
3.) nausea reduction
4.) appetite increaser
5.) stress reduction

Pot helps my wife and I sleep. We rarely do any to get high and even when we do we only use a little and it has minimal effect.

But if we've been sleeping shitty for a few nights then we'll take a 10mg edible and pass out.
