I highly recommend for your first time doing it with a friendly dealer. Preferably someone that your friends or acquaintances know. In my experience they are very good about not overloading someone on their first time and making sure they get enough to enjoy it but not so much they freak out. After all they are looking for a potential customer not to chase someone away. For people in legal states, I don't know maybe do it with someone that is very experienced.

It came from someone I trust but I think it was just more powerful than I can handle LOL. That and I was drinking too so that probably amplified it.

Being a dork ass I am, I write my epiphanies while I'm high. Unlike being drunk, they're legitimate.

While high I realized:

1. Two of my friends never cared about me. Time for me to let go.

2. Some more private things.

I'm an unusual case because I hate smoking and I never got into it all my life until very recently as an older adult.

Alcohol is so taxing on the body compared to vaping.

Vaping THC oil changed everything.

1. It's so damn discreet. Very little smell and disappears quickly. Smoking pot (combustion) and its smell is so obnoxious for the entire neighborhood.

2. It's a damn product sold by legal companies. I can count on it not containing some harmful crap.

3. I couldn't get over the fact that it has very little 'hang over'.

I drank fine scotch and alcohol all my life to have fun. Alcohol does not even compare - it's so taxing on the body.

THC oil is like cheating. Next day, you can just shake it off and go to work (with some haziness, that's it).

Thankfully paranoia goes away after 5, 6, 7th time.

I didn't enjoy the 'first' times - paranoia and thought loop sucks.

After you get used to handling it and no longer fear it (i.e. like learning to ride a bike finally), it's all good times.

I used to be able to get high AF and then drink to my hearts content but if I was already drunk and got high the room would start seriously spinning on me. It'd be night night time :D

Yeah alcohol consumption + pot is a definite trial and error thing. One or two drinks and an edible it's a good night. More drinks than that and I felt like I was in a V8 commercial and walking on an angle or sitting on a slope. I also go super flush feeling.

Yeah, after a few drinks it's all good but I've made the mistake more than a few times of being drunk and toking up. I slept in my truck twice because I was at an acquaintance house and wasn't exactly a place I wanted to pass out at. Not that I thought I'd wake up with a sore butthole or anything, usually just a house full of people and not even enough room on the couch to even sit and my truck is more comfortable than a cold tile floor. Not to mention the embarrassment, I am famed for being able to hold my liquor and they'd all assume it was the booze that did me in not the pot. Couldn't go fucking up my reputation back then :D:D:D

I used to smoke, but now i just do not feel like it. Long ago it kind of slowed me down to a halt. I would just go into my innermind world and be happy. Listening to music was fantastic.
Especially the better underground house songs or dub reggae.
Now, for many years, it works the opposite. I get agitated and do not feel comfortable in my own body. That high pressure feeling in my forehead behind the skull.
Not for me anymore. The only way i can relax is if i am just relaxing and turning the internal speed of thinking and desire to do stuff quite a few notches down.

I tried it 3 times in my life (when I was older), the first time was...nothing, and of course everyone was like "oh you must not have had good stuff". The second time it just made me dizzy and would not consider it to be a pleasant experience at all, the 3rd time I coughed myself into a headache - I felt the buzz of course, but nothing that justifies what people seem to love about it. I just don't get the love at all. I think people over emphasize it because of its taboo but easy to acquire nature.

There are certainly people who have marijuana addiction. If you apply the criteria, 30% of users meet criteria for at least a mild use disorder. However, marijuana use disorder is much less likely to have serious consequence than the majority of things people label as "drugs". That said, marijuana's ability to alter someone's anxiety is exactly why it can be problematic. If you avoid confronting your problems and succeed in covering them up temporarily by using a substance instead of addressing the actual problem, then the problem is likely to get worse, and your ability to feel in control of your life independently will lessen. Of course, there is also the potential that using the substance will enable you to confront a problem you could not face without it. That would be a therapeutic use.

I wouldn't call weed addictive it's not not even on the same scale as Alcohol or Opioids. Its like caffeine but of course its different to each individual. But we all know Opioids and alcohol can kill you outright. You cant kill yourself using weed in any reasonable manner.

I'd call it psychologically addictive, with a dollop of tolerance added. You aren't gonna get DTs if you quit, but I've known plenty of people that are miserable fuckers if they aren't stoned all day long.

It works on the reward pathway and fits the disease model of addiction. I have seen people with some serious life consequences related to cannabis addiction that would readily admit their addiction. But that is not so common.

Are you inferring caffeine isn't addictive?? There's a reason it is added to things...

Pot never worked right for me. And I have tried all kinds. I get the paranoid shit when I smoke weed. I prefer getting high on a nice single malt scotch.

It is weird that the paranoid factor comes into play for so many.
