Thanks all, yes but I noticed technology wont go to 120hz any time soon, plus with 1ms response I tried UT3 and the mouse was instant and not laggy and just like the CRT in a way. here is my room

Monitor came out in November its nice touch screen, touch button ,

Soo far Im getting used to the resolution . Coming down from 2304res ,, I see soo much now things I didnt notice with that res cuz it was soo small. I played UT3 and BlackOps and the mouse is not laggy at all and it just like CRT in a way. The aim is excellent, the picture quality is superb. Gaming is nice and desktop is nice. Also made Sonar look very sexy,, thx all,,

Congrats on the upgrade. I am surprised that 27 inch still doesn't look that big next to those speakers ;)

man you need to decrease the size of the pic because it's annoying having to side scroll a thread!

you need to put those speakers on stand and space them out more.

It should automatically scale it down until you click the thing at the top, then click it again to scale it back. I'm rocking a massive 1024x768 resolution right now and I can see the thread perfectly.

This makes me one on of the last Sony Trinitron CRT holdouts!

Clearly your video card is next on your upgrade list for Cyber Monday!

I got the u2410 when i finally decided to get an lcd to replace my fw-900 as main screen...I really hate tn panels and found lcd technology to be quite awful compared to the fw-900. Only other sacrifice i would have made would have been raw size vs. crt, as the LED tv's are starting to drop in price rather quickly. I use my fw-900 as a secondary monitor now for my son to watch Dora while i'm doing mild work and watching football L:). Hope you enjoy the switch

Why is your radiator external? Your case looks like it has enough space to put it all inside.

Also, what brand/model desk is that? Me rikey and i need a new desk.

Yes its external dual fan radiator,, and the single one is what came with the Kit. I can put the single one inside but I opt not too after comparing temps. The fans are spinning at 1300rpm so noise is very minimal.

Stonburner Ill check what this desk is,, I got it from a desk shop like 9 years ago. I will look under and see what it is. But it was custom made, The keyboard tray and the two drawers werent on it the shop fixed it.

haven't seen anybody happy going from an fw900 to anything else, but the technology keeps improving and tn's are definitely better today than they were a few years ago. gg, gl

I imagine over so many years of ownership though that the CRT's contrast ratio has halved by now. Therefore, those whites on the CRT are definitely inferior to any new LCD. Geometry issues will always be prominent on CRTs. I do miss the instantaneous response times of CRTs, their black levels...and of course the ability to scale resolutions without being constrained to your native resolution is probably the feature I miss the most!

But I have gained a much larger screen without any eye strain in exchange. So there are some pluses :)

Russian my friend it was horrible the monitor had soo many issues. I would have to turn int on 3 times for it to come on. I would turn it on and I get all green or all red on screen with lines, then it explodes and monitors shuts off,, u press power twice turn it on it does same thing,, 3 times on 4 th one it works but the picture is soo faded,, it was bad like yellow windows icons were darker in the middle of the screen and bright on outer.... This was unexpected change for me my mom bought it for me as gift from Costco. Thanks

WOW Guys I was wrong about the Hz thing,, This monitor is crazy ,, like my cousin has a 2ms LG 24" and there is input lag when turning vsync on but slightly but not instant smooth like CRT,, but this 1ms Samsung has NO input lag at all. I recommend it to the hardcore gamers and to everyone,, videos on youtube look smooth and amazing,, no ghosting and no mouse lag,, amazing open up picture in windows viewer its smooth when I zoom and scroll,, on my dads and cousins its jittery or laggy,, soo Im happy and recommend this BIG TIME! I dropped on my resolution from 2304x1440 to 1920x1080 ,, but I got used to it already day 2 ,,, I can actually see text and things now LOL
