84 IIRC on the ASVAB. I joined the Navy, and enjoyed my 8 years of it. Now I spend my time on a college campus. And I'll tell you this. I'd rather spend my time with 20 people that scored less than 70 on the ASVAB any day compared to 20 college kids that can get a 90+.
Meh. Insult the test all you want, but don't insult the people that had the balls to join.
EDIT: And for the record, I completely agree that the military isn't for everyone. But I'll be damned if I have another college kid think he is better than me, because he has a little piece of paper that mommy and daddy paid for.
No truer words have been said. Everytime I came home to visit during leave, I hung out with my friends who were in college, and some of those kids I did meet. Well...sometimes I couldn't wait to get back to my friends I had in the Navy.
