I honestly don't care for Apple Products

Android suits me quite well on the mobile market. But I wouldn't buy an android based device on something that is supposed to last longer then 1-2 years (tablet).

There are so many manufacturers, so many devices, so little time to keep them updated. Your device may not be bricked, but you will often get left in the dust with new updates.

Apple does a good job with keeping things relatively appliance based. You buy product A and they will support that product throughout it's lifetime. Will this change? I don't know...but an Iphone 3 is probably much more serviceable then my comparable android device that I bought next to it.

When it comes to laptops/PC's...I still have a hard time giving Apple a serious look from Microsoft.

These prices matter, especially to Verizon users, because their monthly payment is contingent upon paying off the entirety of the retail price with the Edge plan. I'm paying 8% less per month and getting 2X the battery life of the iphone 6 and wireless charging. Overall, the iphone 6 gets shit on by the Droid Turbo, $ for $. If you want to bridge the battery gap, then you're going to have to fork out $750 for the 6+, or 25% more than the Droid Turbo. Have fun with that. Read the link I posted above.

I own an Air. Not sure there's much to complain about the resolution at 1440x900. Now quality...that I can understand. It's a bit washed out and the colors aren't as good as on a Pro. But that lower end screen also helps the Air pull upwards of 13 hours of battery life too.
 
I own one Apple device, an IPad mini first generation. It's not perfect but I like it. I find it more difficult to use than the windows or android devices.
However it's a solid and reliable device.

I'd sacrifice 3 of those hours for 1680x1050 or :shudder: 1920x1080

I've suffered through enough shitty resolution laptops, my next one is going to have more than 1000 vertical pixels or I'm not buying.

What if I find the iPhone 6's battery life sufficient for my daily usage? What if I don't consider wireless charging to be a "necessary feature" on my smartphone? Does the iPhone 6 still get "shit on" by the Droid Turbo at that point? I don't see what this article is supposed to suggest to me as well. It just seems to push the same battery life as some necessity.

I'm a Microsoft Certified Professional and I hate Windows 8. They made everything so damned inefficient to get to. It was partially fixed with 8.1, but still not as streamlined as 7 was.

Apple products are meh... but the competition is often worse, sometimes I just want to find the person who thought up dell/HP/anyothercompany's lineups and beat them around the head with a macbook. Apple does a lot of things right, their minimal product lineup with reasonable names is something a lot of companies could learn from, just look at this:

I have a $980 (usd) 27" Apple computer monitor called the Apple Cinema Display (not the Thunderbolt one.) I don't use it much anymore because I found a 27" Samsung monitor with a better picture imo.

But I'm keeping the Apple monitor because of status. I think it would impress Apple type people if they knew I had at least one major high end Apple equipment product. I'm in graphic design and use Intel powered PCs for it. But if any of those Apple aficionados wind up being my client or supervisor them it would help to keep the Apple monitor to show I'm at least partly pro Apple. So it's for business and not the picture. The Samsung blows it away for picture quality.

Edit: btw the Apple monitor functions with the Intel powered PCs, you just need a DP (Display Port) on your hd video card.

Bought an Ipad Mini 2 Retina last year for Christmas for $400. 16GB is a joke.

Bought a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 this year for Christmas for $200 and it has expandable memory too. The Ipad Mini 2 Retina is still going for $300 today. F U Apple.

The only thing I can give them credit for is the superior battery life. I absolutely DESPISE them for not having a back button. It annoys me to no end.
