What’s your thoughts on minimum wage increase for tipped workers?
I have no idea how to vote on that one. Seems majority of tipped people I know don’t like it for a similar reason the restaurant groups are lobbying against it. Big changes bring uncertainty and I get why a tipped person who is doing well would be concerned just as I am.

I think the tipping system should be reformed/removed, so I voted for it in hopes it goes in that direction.

Mom really enjoyed voting in person. We lived in a rural bedroom community near a small city, and she would see people there that she got to talk to only there or at the grocery store. It was a community affirmation of sorts. I was lucky to get to go with her a few times.
Our household has 2 out of 3 ballots here now. I'll drop them at the library drop box on the way to work next week.

I'm not sure there's many more than 500 people assigned to vote at my precinct.. Last few times I've gone, I've been the only one there other than the workers.

Interesting. You get a choice of places.

Here in NYC we only have specific polling places for people. Mine's been switched around a few times but I can't vote at the wrong one!
Our county switched to a vote anywhere system with the last election. It's great to be able to walk to the polls again.

Early voted yesterday. I live in a small town (well under 10K), voting was steady but no lines except for the first hour per the workers. Took maybe five minutes, ten max from beginning to end. Best of all I accidentally snagged two "I Voted Today" stickers-I plan to wear both of them this weekend to a family gathering to trigger some people.

Husband and I voted this morning. Lots of folks there besides us. Glad to see such a robust turnout. This county is usually pretty blue. In 2020 we were 68% Biden. Unfortunately, we are but one of a few blue counties in the state.

Voted here today in purple/blue county in a otherwise very red state. In and out in less than 10 minutes, they were set up with at least 30 voting stations and well staffed. Poll worker mentioned they had nearly 1,000/day vote there for first two days of early voting, fair bit busier than usual.

Seems a lot higher turnout here than in 2016 or 2020 but the line had a ton of old motherfuckers who are probably voting for the nazi, with a couple of them wearing his shirts.

Meh, ain't nobody gonna know until November 6th.

If even 1% of Republican voters switch from Trump to anyone else, or even better Harris, those early votes in red areas don't necessarily mean what most people think it means.

I'm fairly certain that this election is going to be close regardless, because the cult is going to support the cult. But, until the votes get counted, we don't know.

The only thing that matters is voting. Early, in person, because there's no guarantee you're going to be ambulatory or alive on November 5th...if you think the election is important, why the fuck would you wait until the last few hours of voting on the very last day?

We put our ballots in the box Monday morning. I was out at a conference all last week when we got our ballots so had to wait. Done and done.

I think it may be optimistic for us to know November 6th, but I'd love it for that to be the case.

I decided to go ahead and vote early and it was packed. It took about half an hour. Not that my vote counts here in WV but it could my last time and it was totally worth it.

I voted on Monday afternoon in Atlanta and there was no line. I walked there from home and was back in about 20 minutes.

Would probably mean Trump ran up the score in Pennsylvania on in person votes before they could count the mail-in votes, it would be disaster. IIRC Pennsylvania cannot start counting mail-in votes until the polls close the night of the fifth. So if we know the result on the 6th it means we're under Nazi control in 2025.

Dropped our 3 ballots in the box at the election supervisor's office yesterday. We had a full ticket: POTUS, State Senator, House rep, 6 judges to retain or not (all members of the federalist society,) local government officials and of course the 6 amendments. DeSantis has been jumping through hoops to stop A3 (weed) & A4 (abortion).

That's a good point concerning Federalist Society membership. I'll be adding three more judges to my list of "no" votes. Simply removing every Republican-appointed judge doesn't work here as 19/20 judges on the ballot were appointed by Republican governors. If a judge maintains membership in the Federalist Society after appointment, that is a strong indication that they value a degenerate ideology over the rule of law and intend to rule accordingly.
