Before I bought my daily driver mazda3, I actually wanted to get a early-90's model, unmodded, clean, performance car.
If I see any of the cars listed above in very clean, almost stock (or very tasteful and subtle modifications/wheels), I just stare and long for it.
Recently, I saw an absolute CLEAN red BMW E30 at a carwash. The owner was this chick and she said she gets offers every month. She only had 50k on the clock too! Manual! in California's traffic! Too bad I noticed the ring
. I generally do not like BMW's, but I can make an exception to the E30. My mom drove one when I was growing up, so I'm partial to it.

RX-7 (~92ish) has always fascinated me growing up. It had an unconventional engine, and it looked like absolute sex, and it still does. It's what made me into a Mazda fanboi, and now I own a Mazda 3
(, well, very nice car, but, I needed a 4door daily driver that I can take out to my outdoor activities, as well as have some fun). Hehe, the RX-7 was the first car i "bought" in Gran Turismo 5 prologue.

I have similar sentiments with the MR-2. Growing up as a little kid, a family friend owned the very boxy mr2. He'd take me in a spin in them. I love the car since he'd take me around corners and I'd get car sick. As a naive kid, I thought it was absolutely fascinating to have the engine behind you hahaha. The 2nd gen of this car, to me, looks like sex as well. Man, someone even offered me one (a very extremely clean, stock white mr2), but he was asking for $5k. heh, I think that's a bit too steep.

3rd gen Mustang 5.0. I saw this one old TV show, and there was a cop who was driving a modified one w/ the police decals and lights. I thought it was the most badass thing ever.

Haha, ever since then, I just liked the car. My favorite type is a '92 red w/ a white top.
I still believe that these generation of cars are among the most timeless cars of the last 20 years. I'd love to own any of them. Well, my love for these cars stem from personal experience as well. Another thing:
The RX-7, E30 had an awesome interior. I love how everything faces you in the driver's seat. Why can't they make interiors where the center console faces you anymore? That was so badass, and even practical.
When I see these cars heavily modified, a little part of me dies
.
You can already tell what my dream garage is like. First, I need to get a house w/ a huge garage though haha.
