I'm going to have to agree with Russ here, that you should tell this guy to take a flying leap.
WHSLacrossekid, I have no reason not to believe you. If you are honest and did send this buyer all 7 legit, boxed copies, then your next email to his him should say something (to the effect of) "I did send you all 7 copies and I believe you are trying to defraud me. Please do not contact me again except through an attorney."

This is why I never do any business on Egay.

/edit: btw, my P.O. receipts always look exactly like Russ'

I have shipped items USPS from a number of cities.......when I shipped from Portland, OR and when I ship from Anchorage, AK (where I live now) they show the same type of info that Russ' receipt has.

When I shipped items from my hometown, Seldovia, AK, they are exactly like the receipt that you have Josh.

One would think that the government could get a standardized system for USPS receipts.........I guess not.

Haha, yeah, yeah....I know they do. I meant more that the Postal Service should get a standardized system, and that since the Postal Service is a government entity (at least I think it is) that is why I used the word government.

The receipts from the Post Office where I used to live ( Jerome, Az ) were filled out by hand and time stamped.

My post office used to give out the old receipts until they rennovated the entire branch about three years ago. The smaller branches seem to be the ones using the old system.

you guys still arent considering of they were stolen by a postal worker trying to get some money quick. If this was true, think of what the other guy id thinking about you. Tell him to put everything back in the box and to see how much it weighs.

Tell him to go get fsked! Even if he does claim Paypal fraud, etc... you can dispute it. You have all the proof you need. Pics of the contents in the box, and the total weight of the package.

I am leaning towards theft in this instance without hearing from both sides. It seems like this guy is good enough, and I know WHSLacrossekid from past deals. Trying to get 2 extra sets from WHSLacrossekid is kinda stupid. Who in their right mind is going to say, "you shorted me 2 of these $200 items, give me 2 more". There is no way he is going to get them from someone who knows all 7 were shipped.

And, in responce to his e-mail, I am still looking for where WHSLacrossekid said he is an idiot. I must have missed that. It was the rest of us calling him an idiot, not WHSLacrossekid.

File the insurance claim, and see what happens. I don't see how this guy is so stupid that he thinks he can get WHSLacrossekid to ship him 2 more. in the words of the great and all-powerful mod, << It won't be happening >>

You did it outside of Ebay, he can't do anything to you through Ebay.
I'd say you have nothing to wory about.

Anyhow, it's very impressive that you have 340+ positive feedbacks without a negative.
Theres always some Ahole that gives you a negative for no reason and no chance of getting it taking off either.

Thanks for the postive bumps guys..

No updates...Still haven't heard from him

and I don't have any Negatives because if something goes wrong I usually try to make it right by refunding partial or total money. I've dealt with almost 98% good people on ebay. A couple people were crooks but most are good. This is actually my second ebay name. I changed to this name after another family member sold on the other name, so I would have about 700 positives if everyone left feedback ;)

Seems like if you insured this package, the first thing to have done is to have him take it to the post office to show the inspectors immediately, and to let them see if the package had been tampered with and to file a claim. If he was lieing that would have ended the conversation on the spot, as he would be guilty of attempted mail fraud. The PO would have done all the weighing, checking postal rate charged for the weight and lots of questions answered quick. No accusations need be made, just the good ole Missouri SHOW ME!. Then if it was determined that you had accidently shorted the package then that too would have been known immediately.

I doubt you would have posted this thread in the first place had you tried to defraud this person, as the opinions of the masses here mean nothing to anyone outside the forums. Chances are, since he made no further communication, either he miscounted, dropped out a couple at sometime after opening, some one had ripped off those two copies from him after he opened the package, or he, despite his past record, tried to pull a fast one on you.

I was going to suggest this, but someone beat me to it: weigh one of the Win2000's (if you have another one), then multiply that by 7. If it's the same weight of package that you sent him ( + box), then he's full of poopie.
