<< Don't forget to empty out that paypal account ASAP. If he contests the charges paypal will freeze that account for months. >>

You better also empty whatever bank account you have linked or Paypal will grab it also.

Russ, are you bloody serious? If so, I'm moving my Paypal info over to my other checking account at my credit union. I keep that checking account empty until I write a check, at which point I transfer money in from savings. Transfers made online either way post instantly during business hours.

Would that keep me safe if someone tried to pull a scam on me and then complained to Paypal?

<< You have a chance to reply to negative feedback. >>

The Skoorb effect is alive and well.

Russ, NCNE[/i] >>

He did a "Buy it Now" through Ebay, so I believe he has a chance to leave feedback on the seller. Am I wrong?

EDIT: I understand that he cannot complain to ebay, since the ebay deal was for one, but he can say what he wants in his feedback.

You actually took a picture of the boxes with a label "7 units", why? Did you anticipate problems? The weight of the package you sent would be very telling. Can you get that info?

If I cancel my account with paypal, wont' it look like I'm trying to run away?

The original auction WAS NOT to him. This was a deal AFTER the auction, and had nothing to do with the 1st auction. The 1st auction is all done.

I have a picture of the 7 because before hand he said

"Could you please email me a picture of all of units with a paper on it saying "7 units"?"

Garfang,

Yes. If the buyer files a chargeback, and the seller has no money in their Paypal account, Paypal will attempt to recover by attaching the associated bank account.

<< He did a "Buy it Now" through Ebay >>

Nope. He purchased it outside of eBay. Note:

<< There's no way that he can affect my Feedback, b/c it was off of ebay. >>

Paypal grabs now, and asks questions later.

USPS's info on the site:

Here is what happened earlier:

WHSLacrossekid,

Your receipt from the Post Office has the shipping weight on it.

That's strange. Every receipt I've ever gotten, hundreds of them, has the shipping weight printed on it.

i don't think this is something that paypal can decide who gets what...either can't prove rvcd/sent the 7 boxes

at least you should of use UPS/Fedex to get the signature on delivery

<< The weight of each box is 1lb 1oz Comes out to 7lbs 7 ounces, plus the box.

There's the receipt
>>

So can you calculate the shipping cost based on that weight plus some for the box?

Shipping weight was 9lbs. Each unit ways 1lb 1oz. That's a total of 7lb 7oz plus a 2lb? box. Not 5lb 5oz plus an almost 4lb box.

My reply to him would be all the data you have about the weight of each box and the receipt for shipping with the weight calculation. Tell him unequivocally that 7 packages were sent totaling 7-1/2 lbs plus the shipping box of 1-1/2 lbs.
