OP, how about talking to your wife about this problem?

It seems it's something you don't want to do yet are doing?!?!

Just be honest with her and offer her something you are comfortable with in return if she insists.

This should be L&R stuff, but I think you are just trolling now.

You could just not go out and instead pay full price for the items you're looking to buy. Black Friday deals really aren't that spectacular. Saving $100 is no longer worth 5 hours of my life waiting in line, dealing with crappy people, and freezing in cold weather.

based on your cliffs, it sounds like your wife is the problem not Walmart

or possibly yourself, because if you were providing a proper life for your wife and kids she wouldn't have to resort to BF deals

in short... you brought this on yourself

(As rudeguy pointed out, this sounds bad. I'm only kidding and sorry if you thought I was serious. I'd edit it out but he quoted me)

The 70" Vizio for under $1000 has my interest. Would consider bodychecking a grandma or two to get my hands on that. It's a good $500 less than normal price.

see things like that you are ok on. The only challenge is getting to the damn thing.

2 years ago I went to Home Depot for a fake tree. I figured the lines wouldn't be long and who is going to want a stupid tree anyways? I got there a few minutes before open, waited not very long and got my tree right away. But as soon as I put it on my cart I got bum rushed by what seemed like 1000 cows heading to trough. No idea what they were after but apparently I was in their way.

You're the one playing into her hands and walmart's hands. Take the list and order everything off that list from Amazon. Sleep in Friday.

This will make it clear to her that you don't want to participate in future years since you dodged it previously and didn't give her the message early on.

It's so fucking big. I drool every time I walk past it. Then I think, WTF will I do with a TV that big when it dies in a year?

It's fine I guess...

I really just came here to vent a little, I'm sure taking some lumps for it though. I've been around here long enough though that I've acquired a pretty good flame suit over the years so no matter, but So far I've been called a troll, told my wife wears the pants, told she's got my nuts in a jar, accused of being financially irresponsible and a poor provider, when none of that could be further from the truth.

We're trying to keep costs down this season because at the beginning of next year we're going into business for ourselves so we've been water-sheading debt as of late to make sure we're going to be in a good position to successfully pull off this start-up (a rural healthcare clinic if you're wondering).

At the same time I know she's just trying to be a team player and be smart with our money while making sure Christmas isn't a bust for the kids...and I know that means a lot to her so I'm willing to go along with it. Not cause I'm "pussy-whipped", just out of respect for someone I love man... I just don't like to shop and especially not on Black Friday so I'm in here bitching about it like a little man-child so she won't have to hear it later. Sorry for unloading on you guys, but that's what we're all here for right?

And as far as Walmart goes - I just think it's out of bounds for them to even hang that carrot out there 6pm on Thanksgiving evening. It's disrespectful.. I feel even worse for the people that have to go in to work it.. They're the ones really getting screwed. Maybe I'm old fashioned that way and you folks don't agree.. that's ok, it's allowed. But for me the whole notion of it pisses me off.

So instead of mentioning all that previously, you are going to show us epic presents this time next year?
