Today has been a pretty bad day for me, and then I get home and check my email and see this in my inbox:

Hi Chandler,
Media100 is a software and hardware edit suite - costs about $15,000. A
copy of the software won't work since the hardware (Media100 PCI Card) has
to be there as well as a license key that is set by Media100 to our specific
machine. As for Combustion, in order to use it you need a hardware key as
well (USB). Does Del Campo have Final Cut Pro? As for Combustion, if you go
over to Creation Engine (www.creationengine.com) they have the best prices
for students and schools. -Doug

This is a friend of mine who pisses me off quite frequently, but he had the fvcking balls to email my boss and write that sh1t. Then he says it's partially on my behalf too?! What the FVCK man!

What pisses me off even more is that he thinks he knows everything about, well, everything, including video production. He had no clue about Media 100 til I talked to him about using it at the office this past summer. So much for this fvcking internship, god dammit.

UPDATE - Well, not much happened since then. I had to email my boss a couple times over the past couple days and it seems to have been somewhat strained.

As for the douche, he's as much of a douche as ever. I've got a documentary I'm working on for the biggest local awards show there is, and he keeps interfering with the taping of it, but I've been able to edit him out for the most part. We'll see what happens in the coming days as deadlines start to come up for several other productions I'm working on, including one with him.

When I messaged him about the email and asked him what the fvck he was thinking, he said he "sent the wrong email" and that he "seriously meant to send a different email." Like I'm that much of a fvcking n00b.

I would email the guy back and tell him that you know nothing of that other fella.

you spelled his email wrong.

The last thing I need is people from ATOT emailing him telling him how much of a jackass he is. It's already a friendship on such thin ice, but I don't wanna fvck with it because it'd be splitting the group in two effectively not to mention I have to work with him for 2 and a half more years on the school video production program. So much for interning at that tv station now. I just can't fvcking believe it.

I sent my boss an email and I had a question to ask him anyway, and in his reply he just wrote 3 words, didn't even give the normal sig. I'm fvcked.

We won two awards a few years back, he knows we're friends. Even when we won two years ago, I did all the editing/planning/work on both winning entries.

I got a returned email saying that "stupidfvckingmoron@gmail.com" doesn't exist.

Crap, man, where do I send my flaming hatemail if his email address doesn't work?

Sounds like you like taking it up the @ss. Why don't you actually speak up for yourself and you can make new friends.

Seriously, send an email back to the guy saying that he was not speaking on behalf of you (if he wasn't), then go over and kick his ass (even if he was).

Maybe "the group" isn't worth keeping together?

Oh I'm not taking it up the ass by any means, I sent him a nice little message on AIM, but why would I want to make new friends if only one is a problem? I can handle his sh1t and it's not worth making everyone pick sides over. It's only school, I expect them to be stupid and immature.

I've got my school friends, and then I've got my "other" friends, basically all my friends who I know from places besides school. I don't take a lot of the school friends seriously because they're only worth good times at school. Gotta make do with what you have.

Hahahaha and it is for that reason alone that I didn't post his real email address.

Seriously, go see your boss NOW and tell him you were horrified and confused to reciefe that email and that, while you do know the other guy, he in no way speaks on your behalf and what he asked for is something you disagree with.
