I hate Dodge/Chrysler and would like to see them fail

Given a viper for free, I'd keep it. I'd sell the WRX though.

Sure if you can afford to keep the Viper, 4 mpg and 10x the insurance cost. Whatever floats your boat. You still don't get that my argument was to the point of refusing a free viper. Anyone who isn't clinically insane will take the Viper whether they hate dodge/crystler or whatever, and most people who were given the Viper would sell it. You don't get that, not sure why I even bother with you.

And I LOVEEE Ferrari's, I wish I had one. If I could afford a "supercar" or weekend sports car I'd take a Ferrari or even a Vette over a Viper any day of the week. But my point there was that if you cannot afford to buy the Ferrari in the first place, you probably can't afford to own one. Going back to the same argument with the Viper, insurance and maintenance on the Ferrari is staggering. Ferrari mechanics are 10x more expensive then your corner mechanic, and the parts are as well. Viper is the same thing, if you can't afford to buy one chances are you can't afford to keep the one that was given to you.

Your point did not make its way across. Neither about the Viper nor about the Ferrari. You in plain words said that Ferraris are junk. You can read your post above. Now you're saying that you love Ferraris!?? So what about vipers. You said those are junk too but do you love those too? What was your point?
Also, you're stating the obvious unless there is anything meaningful to your argument. You say that if you can't afford to own a Ferrari then probably can't afford to own one? Well, Duh! If I don't have a million dollars, I can't afford to buy a million dollar house.

Anyone clinically insane would be someone who would sell a viper just so they can get a WRX. But my whole argument about the Viper being a beast of a car was that these are intended for different audiences and a different kind of driver. Someone who likes that adrenaline rush.
I don't dispute that Ferrari's parts are expensive and I'm sure the mechanics are too. But I don't see the relevance to this discussion if they are or not.

I beat the crap out of my old Stratus for 120k miles, never needed to replace a thing. (except tires and wipers)

My sister's mazda of the same year was perpetually in the shop.

AMDZen, what is your fascination with ABS? It's only really good for panic stopping on wet/slick surfaces. You don't need ABS if you know how to drive.

There's plenty of people who have lost their jobs and the other potential dangers that these people have done. Like mom and pop stores before wal-mart came in. I see, though, when it comes to corporations, capitalism is only good when they're doing good business.

Still the 1997 Viper GTS is my favorite car ever.

i dont want them to, i love jeeps. if jeeps went away i think i would shed a tear.

jeep is the only salvagable chrysler brand

It was the only salvageable thing that came out of AMC, it was the only salvageable thing to come out of Kaiser, and was the only salvageable thing to come out of Willys. Jeep has survived multiple company failures and will continue to do so if Chrysler goes down. I sincerely hope though that it stays American owned, maybe Ford could pick it up.

I love my 97 Ram and have had very few problems with it. I plan on this latest generation Ram in a few years once a couple used ones start hitting the market. I love the new design, they finally have a true quad cab, and the "Rambox" storage in the bed rails are great.
